Chapter: one-shot
Pairings: Asagi x Shinya
Band: D & Dir en grey
Rating: PG-13 [suggestive language, if you notice it]
Summary: It's hard to explain, just read it. >.<
Author's Notes: I hope everyone gets what I'm trying to say in this. This is also written in Asagi's POV.

It’s surprising what kind of music a vocalist and a drummer can make. Sometimes we do hard beats like heavy rock music that causes violent yet controlled movements to the body. The deep bass beats usually back up the fast tempo of strumming guitars, which encourage loud vocals that start from a pleading whisper to a scream of absolute pleasure.

Sometimes we make a common melody that can go anywhere we like to go. Every now and then the tempo starts off slow and the vocals are calm and steady. Then, the music comes to a sudden stop until the drums kick back in, leading into a quick pace that goes along with the chorus easily. The vocals shift to a light screaming effect to an even demanding, speaking tone.

Lastly, we have the memorable ballads. Usually I start with something soft and relaxing with a few strums of a guitar to control the senses. Then, my partner follows up with a gentle drum beat that flow perfectly with the easing voice. Sometimes the tone changes from a teasing whisper to a satisfying cry for more. The drum patterns tend to shift to a slightly faster rhythm with occasional hard hits to its surface.

Would you ever guess that I am a fan of our ballads? Maybe I like how every ballad can never be repeated. Every time we perform this passionate song, one of the composers crave a little more feeling from the vocalist. It’s a soft, irresistible tone that sneaks into one’s ears and manipulates the brain to a slightly fast and desperate rhythm that only one’s partner can produce.

As for my delicate drummer, he seems to enjoy the fast pace of heavy rock most of the time, especially when inspiration hits and he wants to start working on the piece immediately. Even though it is not as memorable as our slowly works of art, it does feel good from the inside. Mostly when the two performers get into the music deeply and ignore all outside distractions from breaking their rhythm.

So, enough talk of music, let’s get serious. You and I need to meet in the studio as soon as possible, I have a new song that I composed.
