Chapter: 1
Pairing: Miyavi x Toshiya
Character: Sakito
Bands: [FIGURe:] & Dir en grey
Rating: overall R
Summary: After his mother's passing, Miyavi has another nightmare and feels like nothing will be the same again, until his old bandmate comes to visit.
Author's Notes: This PV was inspired by deadman's "Follow the Night Light" PV and some weird thoughts of putting Miyavi and Toshiya in another major fic as the main pairing. Wish me luck, guys!

People gather around the casket, holding their opened umbrellas above their heads. The rain continues to fall and splash off the varied surfaces of protection of each spectator. Their eyes focus on the short platform and move their gaze to the casket presented on the stage.

The words slowly drown in the background with the rain and a tall, slender man disturbs the scene. His damp, long black hair hides most of his face as he approaches the casket. He runs his fingers over the hazel colored surface and lightly touches the petals of the white and pink roses. He picks up a pink rose, raises his head up slowly, letting the wild, wet strands part from half of his face, and he lifts the plant to his nose. He inhales the sweet scent and a smirk gradually forms across his face.

He looks over at a similarly built man and walks over to him. He detaches the rose from its stem and steps in front of the man, then crumbles the rose near the other’s face, watching the petals fall to the ground.

“Say ‘goodbye’,” he says softly with an almost devilish smirk.

Miyavi wakes up, gasping for air, and Toshiya stares at him from the doorway of the bedroom. He slowly enters the room with a tray of food and sets it down on the night stand, before sitting on the edge of the bed. He carefully pushes away a few dark strands of hair from Miyavi’s slightly sweaty face.

“Another nightmare?” he asks softly, looking over the younger man.

He nods a bit as his breathing steadies. He sighs and leans on Toshiya, hugging him gently.

Toshiya frowns a bit and hugs his boyfriend back. He pulls away and puts the tray on Miyavi’s lap.

“Your manager called earlier. Maybe if you go back to work, the nightmares will go away,” he suggests.

“Maybe, but I don’t think I’m ready,”Miyavi admits, munching on his toast.

“But you’ve been here for almost a month,” the other states, “I know your mother passed away, but you can’t stay like this forever. I don’t think she would want you to do that either.”

“I guess,” the younger man sighs softly.

A few days later, Miyavi decides to go out. He enters the studio and is immediately greeted by his manager and the studio programmer.

“Glad to see you back. Did you get the flowers I sent?” his manager asks.

Miyavi simply nods and pulls his manager aside.

“Thank you for understanding. I’m sorry for taking so long, but I’m determined to work twice as hard,” he says.

His manager laughs lightly and puts a hand on Miyavi’s shoulder, replying, “Listen, I know it’s gonna be hard starting up again, especially with such a major loss. If you ever need a little break or something, just tell me and I’ll give it to you. I know your fans will understand.”

Miyavi smiles a little and leaves to the private music room area. He walks over to a counter, grabs a cup, and pours himself a cup of coffee, before settling on the empty couch. He stares at the wall for a moment, puts his coffee down, and reaches for his guitar, beginning to strum idly.

A knock interrupts the soft sound of the instrument and Miyavi’s head turns toward the door. He sees the door open and his manager’s head pokes in.

“Miyavi, you have a visitor,” he informs.

“A visitor?” Miyavi questions, quirking a brow.

A blonde and black haired man enters with a pleasant smile and a bag hanging from his shoulder.

“Sakito,” the younger man says softly to himself, blinking in disbelief.

“Don’t tell me you forgot who I am,” the guest laughs a little.

Miyavi smiles, puts his guitar aside, and approaches the other, hugging him tight. “Saktio~ Its been so long,” he says softly, keeping his embrace.

“Yeah, I thought I’d check and see how you were doing while I’m here,” he responds.

Miyavi pulls away and smiles at him. “How long are you staying?” he asks.

“About a week or so. Are you still living in the same place?”

“Yeah, but its expanded some since you last seen it.”

Sakito glances at the guitar, then back at his friend. “Did I interrupt you?”

“Oh, no…just messing around,” Miyavi laughs lightly. “Anou…would you like some lunch? My treat.”

Sakito smiles warmly and nods. “Sure. Maybe we can catch up.”

Once the two men settle at an empty table, they idly look at the menu and try to decide what to order.

“So, how is life being famous?” Sakito asks with a half joking tone.

Miyavi glances up from the menu card and answers, “It’s good, I suppose. It feels the same as when we were still in a band.”

“Yeah, but you’re bigger than ever and you don’t have your band mates to restrain all that talent you have.”

“I don’t see it like that. You guys helped me a lot. If it wasn’t for he band, I’d still would be struggling to be signed to a major label,” Miyavi admits with a smile.

“Well, I’m glad all that fame didn’t’ go to your head,” Sakito says.

“What do you mean?”

“I mean that you’re pretty much the same loveable Miyavi,” he says with a smile, before ordering his food.

Miyavi nods a bit and asks, “So, what have you been up to?”

“Ah, Kikasa and I have been traveling some. We did have a little band together, but some things came up on my end and I had to put my singing dreams on pause,” Sakito answers, “Speaking of which, I heard your mother passed away recently. How have you been holding up?”

“Well, I took a few weeks off and Totchi’s been helping me recover. So, I’m very happy to have him by my side,” he replies, glancing down at the table.

“Totchi?” the older man quirks a brow.

“Toshiya…he’s…he’s my boyfriend,” Miyavi clarifies, blushing lightly.

“Oh~ He must be a very important person for you to react like that.”

“Y-yeah…we’ve been together for a long time. I…really love him,” he admits, smiling some.

“That’s so sweet.”

“Would you like to meet him?”

“Sure~”

Laughing a bit in the living room, Toshiya pours more tea for his boyfriend and his guest. He catches his breath and says, “I’m glad Mi-chan brought you over. He never told me that much about his band days.”

“You haven’t? I thought you said those were the best years of your life,” Sakito teases the younger man, sipping at his tea.

“They were. I didn’t think anyone else would find it interesting other than ourselves and sometimes the media,” Miyavi replies.

“Well, I think it’s cute,” Toshiya says with a smile.

Miyavi blushes lightly and looks down at his tea.

“Meev was always the adorable one. You’re a very lucky man, Toshiya-san,” the vocalist comments.

“Ah, I never thought I’d meet anyone like Mi-chan. I don’t think I want anyone else but him,” Toshiya says with a bright smile and leans over to kiss Miyavi’s cheek.

“May I ask where you two met?”

“Sure. It’s kinda an embarrassing story, but I bumped into him at a convenient store.”

“Literally…” Miyavi adds, drinking his tea as Toshiya continues.

“Yeah and I was buying cigarettes, then bumped into this tall guy when I walked out. I ended up falling over and Miyavi helped me up. He also let me stay over at his place for the night, since I was too drunk to go back to my own apartment,” he laughs.

“That’s an interesting story,” Sakito comments, looking between the two of them. “And now you make such a great, happy couple.”

“Mhm. I’m glad we ran into each other. It was another great moment in my life,” Miyavi says with a smile.

Toshiya smiles and kisses the younger man softyly.

Sakito glances at his watch, puts his cup down, and stands up while saying, “It’s getting late and I need to head back to my hotel room.”

“Oh, well, it was nice meeting you, Sakito-san,” Toshiya says, standing up as well and shaking the other’s hand.

“It was nice meeting you too,” he replies, heading toward the door.

Miyavi follows his friend and opens the door for him. “I’m glad you stopped by, Saki. I hope we didn’t make you uncomfortable,” he says, biting his lip.

“No, I enjoyed myself. You picked a good guy and he’s very handsome. Plus, I haven’t seen you that happy since Kikasa-kun and I asked you to join our band,” Sakito chuckles lightly. He hugs the taller man and says, before leaving, “Thanks for inviting me over and don’t forget, you can call me any time.”

Miyavi smiles and waves at his friend, before shutting the door. He heads toward the kitchen and walks over to Toshiya, wrapping his arms around the other. He hugs him lightly and kisses along the other’s neck.

Toshiya smiles, tilts his head slightly, and finishes up washing the cups they used for the evening. “Your friend was really nice. I can see why you guys are so close,” he says, putting the wet cups in the dish rack to dry.

“I’m glad you like him. He seems to like too, which makes me very happy,” the soloist replies.

“Well, I’m glad to see you smile again. I was really worried that you’d be unhappy forever.”

“It still hurts a little knowing she’s gone, but I need to think positive and smile more for her and you.”

The older man smiles, kisses Miyavi sweetly, and suggests, “You should get some rest.”

“Will you rest with me?”

“I’d love to.”

Miyavi takes the other’s hand and leads him to the bedroom for sleep.
