Bands: Dir en grey
Rating: overall R
Summary: Miyavi gets inspired by his reunion to write and Toshiya gets visited by someone from his past.
Author's Notes: I feel a little guilty for making Die's character not so good for once.
Toshiya wakes up, slowly opening his eyes, and looks over. “Miyavi…” he says softly. He sits up and looks around for the other man, then hears a faint guitar sound from downstairs.
He gets out of bed and follows the music. He peeks into the music room and smiles at the sight of his boyfriend with his guitar in his lap. He leans against the door frame, enjoying the beautiful music the other produced with his fingers over the strings.
Once Miyavi pauses to scribble the notes down, Toshiya enters the room and asks, “Is that a new song?”
Miyavi glances up at the owner of the voice and smiles. “Hai, last night inspired me to write.”
“Oh, well, it’s very beautiful. Can I listen in? I’ll be quiet,” the older man asks.
“Sure, but don’t tell anyone.”
Toshiya grins, takes a seat in the room, and silently listens to Miyavi pluck the strings of his guitar. He sways a bit in the chair and closes his eyes, letting the acoustic sounds flow through his body. He opens his eyes as he heard the younger man sing softly. He blushes lightly as he focuses more on the lyrics that came out, realizing that the musician was singing about him.
The soloist continues strumming as his words of love follow the melody. He smiles at his boyfriend and lets the sound of his guitar fade in the room. He leans over and kisses the other sweetly. “I love you, Toshiya,” he says softly.
“I love you too,” Toshiya replies with a smile.
Miyavi stands up, puts his guitar away, and stretches some. “I’m going back to the studio,” he says, putting his papers together, “I think I have something to offer today.”
“Alright. When are you coming home?” Toshiya asks, standing up.
“Probably late. Don’t worry yourself with dinner. I’ll find something on my way home.”
The older man nods and kisses Miyavi softly. “Good luck and don’t work yourself too hard,” he says with an encouraging smile.
Miyavi smiles, takes his notebook, and exits the music room.

The day went by quickly as Toshiya busy himself around the house. He cleans up the kitchen and goes into the living room, plopping on the couch. He grabs the remote and starts flipping through the channels. He jumps a bit at the sudden knock on the door.
He looks in the direction of the sound, hears the knock again, and calls out, “Coming~” He pushes himself up, heads toward the front door, and opens it. His eyes widen at the sight of the visitor on his doorstep.
“Long time no see, Totchi,” the man says with a bright smile.
“Die-kun…” Toshiya says softly.
“Are you gonna invite me in or are we still not talking to each other,” he jokes a bit.
Toshiya shakes his head some and opens the door for him, stepping aside as the older gentleman enters and takes his shoes off.
“I hope I didn’t come at a bad time,” Die says, keeping the smile on his face.
“No, not at all,” he says, leading his guest to the living room. “Want anything to drink?”
“No thanks, I’m good.”
Toshiya sits down and asks, “So, what brings you here?”
“I was curious on how you were doing. I’m a little surprise you’re still living here,” Die says, stretching his arms over the top of the couch.
“Why do you say that?” Toshiya responds, making a little face.
“Well, your boyfriend is a busy man and I know how much you dislike being alone.”
“Yeah, but we have something deep. The times of loneliness is worth the pleasant homecomings,” he says softly.
“You must really like that kid.”
“I do…I’m in love with him and he makes me very happy.”
“He must be amazing in bed for you to say something like that.”
Toshiya looks at the other seriously. “Our relationship is deeper than sex, Die, so don’t just assume I’m that easy to give my heart away.”
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean for it to sound rude, but you are irresistible, Toshiya.”
“Thanks,” he mumbles, glancing off. “What about you?”
“Me? Well, I’m just a lone wolf now. Enjoying the single life,” Die says with a smile.
“You never could keep a relationship long.”
“I can’t help it that I’m popular,” he brags a little.
“You’re not that popular. You just suck at commitment,” Toshiya says bluntly.
“I have the rest of my life to commit.”
Toshiya rolls his eyes and his ears perk up at the sound of a voice saying, “I’m home~”
Miyavi goes into the living room and pauses at the sight of his lover’s ex-boyfriend on the couch.
“Hey,” Die greets with a pleasant smile.
“Hey…” Miyavi says a bit hesitantly.
“Don’t worry, I was about to leave anyway,” the older man says, standing up. He looks over at Toshiya and smiles. “It was nice seeing you again, Totchi.” He heads toward the door and stops next to Miyavi, speaking softly, “Take good care of him, ne.”
Die opens the door, peeks back into the room, and says, “By the way, I really like the haircut. It suits you very well.” He grins and makes his way out the house.
Miyavi blinks a bit and takes a seat next to his boyfriend, putting his bag on the floor. He glances down and plays with his lip ring a bit nervously.
“How was your day?” Toshiya asks softly, breaking the awkward silence.
“It was…very productive,” the younger male answers, trying to get over the fact that Die was in his home alone with his lover. “What about you?”
“About the same.”
“Oh. What did Die-san want?”
“Just wanted to visit,” he says softly. He sighs and leans on Miyavi.
Miyavi half smiles and puts his arm. “What’s wrong?” he asks.
“Mmm…I missed you,” Toshiya admits, snuggling into the other. “Did you get something to eat?”
“Mhm. Did you?”
He nods a bit and glances up at Miyavi a bit. “Are you mad at me?”
“Why would I be mad at you?” he asks, raising a brow.
“Because of…Die.”
“Not at all. I was just surprise he was here, that’s all.”
Toshiya snuggles into his boyfriend more, pouting a little. “I love you, Mi-chan, and no one else.”
Miyavi smiles and hugs the other tightly.
