Chapter: 3
Pairing: Miyavi x Toshiya, mention of Die x Toshiya
Bands: Dir en grey
Rating: overall R
Summary: Miyavi's creative flow is suddenly interrupted and Toshiya attempts to bring back the old Miyavi.
Author's Notes: I thought this was an interesting chapter, since I didn't get to go the obvious direction with my favorite pair.

It was the middle of the night, Toshiya turns around and opens his eyes slowly. He blinks a bit at the empty spot next to him, sits up, and scans the room. He notices a familiar figure on the balcony, rolls out the bed, and goes out to the balcony quietly.

He crosses his arms and sits in the empty chair next to the other man. “Couldn’t sleep?” Toshiya asks softly.

Miyavi removes the rim of the bottle from his lips and looks over at him. “I guess you can say that. Did I wake you up?” he asks.

“Not at all. Just got a little worried about you.”

He smiles softly and says, “I’m fine. Anou…want a drink?”

Toshiya shakes his head and rests his head on the other’s shoulder. “I can’t go back to sleep without you, so I’ll keep you company if that’s okay with you.”

“It’s fine. It’s nice having you near me.”

The older man glances at Miyavi as he drinks and asks, “Are you sure you’re alright, Mi-chan?”

“Yeah, why do you ask?”

“Well, you rarely drink, so I thought maybe…something was bothering you.”

Miyavi smiles softly and kisses his boyfriend. “I’m fine. Just thinking over some things for work.”

“Anything I can help with?”

“Hmm…keep doing what you’re doing.”

“And what’s that?”

“Loving and supporting me.”

Toshiya smiles and kisses the soloist’s cheek. “I can definitely do that.”

After finishing up the last verse of his song, Miyavi steps out of the recording area and heads out the studio for a little a break. He grabs his bag, puts the strap over his shoulder, and exits the building. He walks toward the corner store and picks up some gum, then stands in the check out line.

“Well, if it isn’t the famous guitarist turn soloist Miyavi,” a voice says behind the taller man.

Miyavi turns around some and notices the familiar face. “Hey, Die-san,” he greets, moving forward in the line.

“What’s a famous celebrity doing in a store like this?”

“I needed some gum and I’m just like everyone else.”

“Oh, well, if you’re like everyone else, then you have some time to spare to have lunch with me,” Die offers.

“Well, I am a little hungry,” Miyavi admits, glancing down a bit. He steps up toward the counter and pays for the pack of gum, shoving it in his pocket.

Die leads the other out the store and starts walking to a little sandwich shop a few blocks away. He shoves his hands in his pockets and asks, “So, how are things with Toshiya?”

“They’re…they’re very good,” Miyavi answers softly.

“He seems to like, or should I say, love you a lot.”

“He does and I feel the same about him too.”

“You guys must be very serious. I envy you for that,” Die confesses, smiling a bit.

“Why’s that?”

“Because I never knew how much I liked Toshiya until I saw him with you. I never seen him smile like that when we were together.”

“Never?” the younger man asks, glancing over at the red head.

“Nope. I kinda want to know your secret.”

“Secret? What secret?”

“To getting that man of yours to smile like that.”

“I don’t know,” Miyavi says softly, glancing down. “Anou…I should head back to the studio. Maybe we can have lunch next time.”

“Alright. Take care, Miyavi-san,” Die calls out as the other went the opposite direction.

Staring at his notebook for nearly an hour and a half, Miyavi taps his pencil on the blank pages and sighs boredly. He blows at a strand of hair in his face and jumps a bit at the sound of his manager’s voice.

“Miyavi,” the manager breaks the silence, entering Miyavi’s room, and notices the sudden surprised reaction. “Oh, sorry about that. I just wanted to tell you that you should start heading home. Restart your brain for the next session.”

“Are you sure? I could work with some more mixing if you want.”

“No, no…you look worn out. You can take tomorrow off if you want. You’ve been working hard this whole week,” he suggests.

Miyavi sighs and nods a bit, gathering his papers. “Thanks,” he says softly.

“Have a good night,” his manager says, before leaving.

Toshiya enters the house with a couple bags of groceries and slips his shoes off. He heads toward the kitchen and starts putting away the contents of the bags. Once he was done, he heads up to the bedroom and hears water movement coming from the bathroom.

He opens the door slowly and peeks inside, seeing the musician sink into the foamy water. He smiles softly and waits for the other to finish up his bath. He glances off for a moment and soon thinks of something. He gets up, goes o the closet near the bathroom, and takes out his box of lotions and scented oils. He puts them on the nightstand and immediately greets his lover with a smile as the bathroom door opens.

“I didn’t think you’d beat me home, but I’m glad you’re here,” Toshiya says, looking over the other’s bare body and the towel that hid the lower half of him.

“Yeah, my manager thought it was best for me to head home,” Miyavi replies, heading toward the dresser and digging around for clothes.

Toshiya grabs the younger man’s hand and leads him to the bed. “Lay down,” he commands with a sweet smile.

Miyavi blinks a bit and does what he is told.

“No, on your stomach,” the other chuckles lightly.

The soloist rolls over and glances back at his boyfriend, suddenly feeling some weight put on his body. He shifts a bit under Toshiya and asks, “What are you doing?”

Toshiya straddles the other some, reaches over for a bottle of lotion, and puts some in his hands, then spreads it over the younger man’s back. He rubs over his shoulders and neck, making sure to get all the tension out.

“Mmm…”

“Feel good?” he asks, moving his hands down the other’s back and massaging a couple knots out.

“Very good,” Miyavi murmurs, closing his eyes.

“You’ve been working so hard all week. You deserve to relax a little.”

“Just…trying to catch up on lost time,” he groans softly as he feels Toshiya add pressure to his lower back.

“But you shouldn’t work yourself to death. It’s okay to take a couple breaks. I’m sure your manager would say the same thing.”

“Yeah…”

Toshiya smiles softly, picks up his lover’s favorite scented oil, and puts some in his hands, rubbing them together, before spreading it over the other’s skin. He massages Miyavi a little more and feels over the man’s long arms, laying on him some. He inhales the sweet scent lightly and pushes Miyavi’s hair away from his neck.

He entwines their fingers together and kisses along the back of Miyavi’s neck. He moves his head a bit and kisses the side of his neck, nipping a bit at his skin. “I missed you, baby,” the older man whispers, squeezing the other’s hands.

“I missed you too,” Miyavi breathes out.

Toshiya smiles and nibbles gently at the soloist’s earlobe. “It’s been a while since we’ve been this close, Mi-chan~” he purrs softly in his ear.

“We’re always this close. Every night before we fall asleep.”

“Mm…I didn’t mean close like that. I meant more…intimately close,” Toshiya clears up, nipping along his ear.

“Totchi…I…I can’t right now,” Miyavi sighs softly, “I’m sorry.”

“It’s alright. Maybe later when you’re all rested up,” the older man says, smiling sadly to himself. He moves off the younger man and sits on the edge of the bed.

“You forgive me?” the musician asks softly, sitting up and looking at the other.

Toshiya nods and kisses him softly. “You sleep and I’ll be downstairs if you need me.” He stands up and starts heading out the room.

“Do you need any help?”

“No, I want you to get your rest. I’ll be fine,” he assures, before leaving the room and closing the door behind him.
