Sakito nods a bit to the gentle rock music in the background as he flips to the next page of the magazine in his lap. He sighs contently, reaches over for his tea, and takes a careful sip, until he hears a knock on the door. He looks to his right, puts the warm cup down, and gets up to answer. He opens the door and smiles at the familiar face, but soon his smile fades at the sight of the brunette crying on his doorstep.
“Toshiya-san, what happened?” he asks gently.
Toshiya sniffs a bit and shortly breaks down, hugging the former vocalist as his tears freely escape. He allows himself to be led into the fancy hotel room and holds onto the other man.
Sakito sits him down, goes into the small kitchen area, and makes his unexpected guest a cup of tea, bringing it over to him along with a box of tissues. He takes a seat next to the brunette and looks at him with concern. “Toshiya-san, what happened?”
“He…he raped me and I…I couldn’t get away. He’s never hurt me before. It’s like he was a totally different person,” he replies softly, sipping at the slightly comforting liquid.
“Miyavi did?” Sakito’s eyebrows furrow in thought, “Or did he refer to himself as Mako?”
Toshiya looks up from the steamy cup with tear-filled eyes and nods slowly. “I thought it was just a character for role playing until he…he broke me into almost nothing,” he answers quietly, looking down, “What did I do wrong? All I did was love him back and now he turns into someone that’s so unlike himself.”
“It isn’t Miyavi that did this to you,” the blonde explains with a short sigh, “A few years ago, when the band broke up, Miyavi and a couple violent fits with our drummer and our manager. Sometimes Miyavi would wake up shaking from his ‘dreams’ and share them with me. I ended up explaining that his ‘dreams’ were indeed reality, which frightened him. So, I took him to a therapist and we found out he had a split personality to deal with his hidden emotions. After a few more therapy sessions and medication, his Mako personality disappeared.”
“I guess that explains things a bit, but I wonder what he’s holding back from me. I hope I didn’t do anything wrong.” Toshiya says softly with a little pout.
Sakito gently puts his hand on the other’s shoulder and offers, “You can stay here for as long as you need to and I’ll talk to Miyavi in the morning. Hopefully, he’ll be back to himself and I can convince him to get some help again. I’d hate to see him or Mako destroy his own happiness with you.”
“Thank…you, Sakito-san,” the brunette replies quietly, hugging him gently.

Knocking on the door, Sakito waits for the young soloist to answer. He is prepared to confront his friend about his unusual and possibly dangerous behavior and makes sure he receives the help that he needs.
Miyavi opens the door a little and peeks through the crack, sniffling a little. “Sakito-kun,” he whispers, opening the door more for him to enter the dark home.
He stands behind the door as Sakito enters and looks around the dimly lit home. He jumps a bit at the sight of Miyavi and his somewhat sloppily appearance. “What…what happened?” he asked softly, reaching out to push the other’s hair away from his face.
“He’s…he’s really gone,” Miyavi says softly, wiping his eyes quickly.
Sakito pulls the younger man in his arms and holds onto him, comforting him. “Shh…he’s not gone. He’s staying at my hotel room. He’s worried about you.”
“Worried? Why? Is it because I forgot what happened between us?”
“No, no…something bad happened and he wanted me to convince you to get some help. Perhaps you should go back to therapy,” he suggests, feeling the other pull away quickly and look at him seriously.
“There’s nothing wrong! I made Mako go away.”
Sakito grips the musician’s shoulders firmly and says, “Miyavi, Mako is still controlling your stress and anger.”
“No, he can’t be. I told him to stop,” Miyavi says softly, looking down.
“Mako is destroying your relationship and I don’t want you to suffer because of him. That’s why you need to talk to someone.”
“I’ve already talked to you and Mako. Everything should be back to normal-“
“But Toshiya-san ended up getting hurt,” Sakito adds.
“Hurt?” he repeats, blinking a bit.
The older man ruffles his hair some and sighs deeply. “Mako…he raped Toshiya and now he’s afraid of you or should I say…Mako.”
Miyavi stares at his friend for a moment and slowly lowers himself to sit on the floor. He pulls his legs up and rocks himself a bit. “It…it can’t be true,” he whispers.
Sakito bends down and says calmly, “I’m gonna set up an appointment for you tomorrow afternoon. I’ll call you before I stop by to take you there.”
The soloist nods a bit, stands up, and opens the door for the other. He watches him leave and mumbles, “Thank you, Sakito.” He closes the door and heads to the living room, hanging his head.
