Summary: Zero moves in with Uruha and lets him "distract" him from his work.
Author's Notes: I hope Uruha's character is convincing.
The two men move through the apartment and put the last box down in the middle of the living room with a grunt. They sigh and plop on the couch at the same time.
“I can’t believe you’re moving in with him so soon. You’ve barely been together two weeks,” Karyu says, catching his breath softly.
Zero looks over at him lazily and pants, “Well…he said that I’m the best thing that’s ever happened to him, so I don’t want to deprive him of true happiness.”
“Sounds like a lot of bull shit to me,” the other says, closing his eyes.
“Well, I believe him. Plus, he makes me happy too.”
“So, what if he randomly mentions meeting his parents or marriage or even adoption?” Karyu asks seriously.
Zero laughs, “He hasn’t told me he loves me or any serious shit like that. It’s way too soon for our hearts to be involved and he doesn’t seem like the type of person to commit without thinking about it. Honestly, can you see us marrying each other the way things are going?”
“The way things are going, he’s pretty much got you trained.”
“But married couples don’t fuck as much as we do~” he brags a little with a smirk.
Karyu slaps his band mate’s chest with the back of his hand and rolls his eyes.
The bassist rubs over the spot and laughs, “You know you enjoy my dirty talk.” He pokes the other’s side and grins.
“Oh, now it’s on, horndog!” he growls playfully and pins his band mate down on the couch, then starts tickling him and smirks at his struggle to get free.
The door closes and Karyu pauses his fingers’ movement, then looks at who came in and moves off the other. He sits next to the other and stares at the blonde silently.
Zero laughs a little and catches his breath, attempting to talk, “So, you gave up. I knew I could convince-“ He sits up and looks in the same direction as the guitarist, then gathers himself, gets up and greets, “Welcome home, baby. Karyu was helping me move in and was about to leave too. Right, Karyu?”
“Ah, r-right,” Karyu agrees, getting up and heading toward the door for his shoes, before leaving.
“I thought you said you didn’t like him like that,” Uruha says in an accusing tone.
“I don’t. We were just playing around. Perfectly normal and platonic,” Zero defends, walking over to the blonde and wrapping his arms around him, “I have no reason to cheat, especially with him, so please trust me on that.”
The younger man sighs and leans into him. “Alright, I trust you.”

The band’s staff begins moving around equipment in the venue to rehearsal and Tsukasa is wandering around the area, trying to find their bassist. He checks the dressing room and spots Karyu by the snack table, approaching him with a Styrofoam cup of steaming coffee.
“Karyu, have you seen Zero? He’s late for rehearsal,” Tsukasa asks.
Karyu chews thoughtfully at the cracker in his hand and answers, “Last time I talked to him, he said he was on his way, but that was twenty minutes ago.”
“Hey, guys!” the bassist says, finally making an entrance with the blonde holding his hand, “Sorry I’m late I had to take care of something and it took longer than expected.” He glances back at Uruha and then back at his unhappy band mates. “I hope you don’t if Uruha stays and watches.”
Tsukasa groans softly, shakes his head a little, and walks off, drinking his coffee as Karyu faces his band mate. He leans in some and says to Zero softly, “Can I see you in the bathroom for just a minute?”
“Yeah, sure,” he responds with a smile and turns to Uruha. “I’ll be right back. Have some fruit or something, okay?” He leans over and pecks the other’s full lips, before following the guitarist elsewhere.
Karyu pushes open the door, waits for Zero to enter the room, and punches his arm. “What are you, an idiot!?” he scolds.
“What the hell? I said I was sorry. It’s not like I’m late all the time,” Zero defends.
“Still. This is a very important day for us and you come here like nothing’s wrong, but you like a fuckin’ mess!”
“So, my hair’s a little messy, but I can fix that easily,” he says, ruffling the dark locks with his hand.
“Uh huh…and your pants are undone too,” Karyu informs, glancing down at the other’s jeans.
Zero looks down and immediately fixes the problem. “There. No big deal~”
The taller man rolls his eyes and crosses his arms. “I’m really starting to think that Uruha’s not good for you.”
“You’re only saying that because you don’t like him,” he scoffs.
“Whether I like him or not, he’s still distracting you from your work; your one true passion in life.”
The bassist laughs a little. “Just because I’m getting a little extra action than usual, doesn’t mean he’s bad for me. Stop referring to him like he’s poisonous or something. You should be happy for me that I finally found someone to be steady with, unlike some people,” he says, heading toward the door.
“You got to be kidding me. You sound like you’re falling for this guy or something,” Karyu muses as he watches his band mate start heading out.
“Maybe I am falling for him,” he says seriously, exiting the bathroom.
The guitarist pauses in thought and quickly follows him out, standing in front of the door and watching the other walk to his dressing room. “You’re insane, Zero!” he calls, shaking his head to himself at the thought of the bassist falling in love with such a horrible person. He sighs to himself and heads over to the refreshment table. He picks up a strawberry, chews on it, and glances at the blonde next to him.
“Karyu, right?” he asks, giving a friendly smile.
“Yeah…”
“You’re really close to Zero, aren’t you?”
Karyu nods slowly and continues eating as he watches the other carefully.
“Ah, well, I just wanted to tell you…” he says, leaning over to whisper in a slightly threatening tone, “Stay away from him.”
The guitarist blinks a bit and bursts out laughing. “You’re kidding, right?”
Uruha glances off to see if anyone is watching, then grabs at the other’s neck, choking him. He speaks in a low voice, narrowing his eyes at him as he trembles in his grasp. “You think I’m joking, but I’m not. I will kill you if you try to get close to my lover.”
Karyu gasps for air, wincing at the blonde’s nails piercing his skin, and tries to respond, “O-okay…”
He lets go and smiles. “Good. Want another strawberry?”
Karyu rubs his neck and shakes his head. “No, thanks,” he says softly, walking away from the table and putting the rest of the fruit in his mouth. He steps up to the stage with the rest of the hand and picks up his guitar, then glances out to where the audience would be seated and notices the blonde glaring at him as Zero nears him.
“Hey, Karyu, I’m sorry about what happened. I know you’re just looking out for me,” Zero says, trying to get the other’s attention.
“Ah, it’s okay. Let’s talk about it later,” he replies, walking away to the opposite side of the stage.

Uruha pulls up to a vacant parking spot, turns the car off, and looks over at the tired musician. He lightly nudges him and tilts his head a bit. “Honey…” he says softly.
Zero slowly opens his eyes and looks at him with a little smile. “Hey, how was the show?”
“It was amazing, of course. I’ve never seen someone rock so hard with a bass like you,” he comments, kissing the other’s cheek. “Let’s go inside and then you can really relax.”
“That sounds good.”
They get out the car, head up to the apartment, and Zero plops on the couch, watching the blonde disappear toward the back of the apartment. He turns the TV on and slowly dozes off a bit.
Twenty minutes later, Zero feels a light nudge and looks at the blurry figure, smiling a little. He gets tugged up and stumbles a bit as he follows the younger man. He raises his arms up and lets the other undress him, then follows him to the bathtub, sinking into the warm, bubbly water.
“Mm…this feels good,” Zero murmurs, closing his eyes.
Uruha pushes up his sleeves, moves behind the other, and rubs over the bassist’s shoulders. He picks up a wash clothe and starts washing the other, enjoying the smoothness of Zero’s skin.
“I’m really glad you’re staying with me. I get to wake to you almost every morning,” the blonde says softly with a smile.
“I like waking up to you too,” he responds, melting under Uruha’s touch.
“Zero, honey…”
“Yeah?”
“I love you.”
“Mm…you do?”
Uruha tilts the bassist’s head up gently and kisses him deeply. He feels down the other’s chest and plays with his tongue. He smiles between their lips as he feels Zero’s hand rest on his. He sighs contently and pulls his lips away slowly, then smiles. “I don’t care if you don’t love me yet, but I know you’ll never hurt me,” he says softly.
Zero pecks his lips and confesses, “I don’t love you, but I definitely know I have strong feelings for you. I’m planning on staying with you for a very, very long time too.”
