“Asagi-chan~” the taller male called from the garden.
“Coming, darling~” the dark haired man responded, adjusting his top hat and glasses. He buttoned his jacket part of the way and headed outside, smiling at the sparkling flowers surrounding the area his partner set up for them. The fireflies decorated the scene as he approached the picnic spot. He flattened his coat tails, before taking a seat, removed his hat, and placed beside him. “I’m ready when you are, my dear,” he called, looking at the opening to their picnic.
Karyu appeared holding a tray occupied by a sapphire and silver tea set and wearing an elegant black dress that trailed behind him as he walked over. He carefully placed the tray down in the center and took a seat across from the older man.
“You look ever so beautiful, my love,” Asagi complimented, giving a small smile at the other.
“Why thank you. You look rather handsome yourself, honey,” Karyu replied with a light blush. He picked up the shimmering tea pot and poured each of them tea.
“So, what do you have prepared for us this evening?” the older man asked, carefully sipping his tea.
“I made finger sandwiches and a delicious strawberry cheesecake.”
“Mm~ Sounds delicious,” Asagi commented, watching the taller man serve the sandwiches.
They quietly ate and occasionally looked at each other with soft smiles. Asagi stared at Karyu nibbling on his sandwich and sighed softly to himself.
“Is there something wrong, honey?” Karyu asked, blinking a bit.
“Just admiring how beautiful you are this evening. You look extra radiant and that dress suits you so well. And the moon adds extra sparkles in your eyes, I can lose myself in them for hours. Reminds me why I fell in love with you,” the older man answered, “Did I tell you that I love you, my Karyu~?”
Karyu blushed and said softly, “You did, but I like hearing you say those three little words.” He glanced down and cut a slice of cheesecake, then fed his lover some, saying, “I love you too, Asagi-chan~”
Asagi smiled, eating the dessert happily, and licked his lips. “This cheesecake is almost as sweet as you, my little honey drop~”
“Stop it. You’re making me blush more. It’s so embarrassing,” Karyu replied, turning a slightly darker shade of pink.
“But you’re so cute when you blush,” the dark haired man said lovingly, caressing Karyu’s cheek gently, “Like a little strawberry.”
“Aren’t strawberries one of Asagi’s favorite fruits?” the younger man asked, feeding him more cake.
“Mm…mhm~” Asagi replied, “Karyu is my favorite strawberry of all. I could eat him all up.”
“Would you share me with your band mates?”
“Of course not! They can have your cheesecake and I can keep you all to myself~” Asagi said with a smile.
Karyu smiled back, moved closer to the other, and cuddled up to him. He glanced out at the fireflies dancing among the gentle swaying flowers and sighed contently in Asagi’s arms. He closed his eyes and shifted a little closer to the older man. He felt Asagi’s gentle touch tilt his chin up and softly rubbed noses with each other.
“I love you, my sweet strawberry,” Asagi whispered.
“I love you more, my Prince~” Karyu replied sweetly, before waking up in a cold sweat. He sat up quickly, trying to catch his breath, and glanced over at the sleeping vocalist beside him in the dark. “Asagi…” he whispered, nudging him gently, “Asagi~”
“What~?” the vocalist groaned a little.
“I had a bad dream.”
“What happened?”
“We were having a tea party in a top hat, fancy dress, and coat tails. We kept calling each other cheesy pet names like ‘honey drop’ and ‘sweet strawberry’. I even called you ‘Asagi-chan’.”
“That doesn’t sound like us at all,” the other mumbled.
“Then we gave each other Eskimo kisses,” Karyu shuddered at the thought.
“Good thing it was just a dream,” he mumbled, tugging Karyu in his arms, “Maybe you should go back to sleep. You have a photoshoot in the morning.”
“You’re right,” the guitarist sighed and settled into Asagi’s arms, slowly drifting back to sleep.
“Sweet dreams, honey drop…” Asagi teased a little.
