Asagi sits sin the wooden chair sighing as Shinya paces back and forth in the silent kitchen. Asagi buries his irritated expression with his hands. Shinya stops and looks at him.
“We have to talk about this sooner or later,” he says softly, trying to hold back his tears.
“What’s the big deal?” Asagi blurts.
“You’re with me and no one else. I want you to quit the game.”
“Why? It’s not like I’m playing it now.”
“But it’s wrong. Don’t you care about the other people involved in this?”
“I know it’s stupid, but I’m not hurting anyone.”
“Yes, you are!” Shinya replies slamming his hands on the table.
“Okay, I am, but why does it matter. I’m not cheating on you.”
“I don’t care. You’re still involved in it.”
Asagi sighs in annoyance, stands up, and grabs his coat and shoes.
“Where are you going?” the other man asks, raising an eyebrow.
“Out,” he answers, beginning to exit the house.
“When will you be back?”
“Later.”
He walks out the door while closing it behind him. Shinya sits down pouting and mumbling to himself.
The room is silent for a bit until the phone rings. Shinya ignores the sound and finally answers.
“Hello?” he weakly answers.
“Shin-chan! How are you?” a voice happily responds.
“I’m fine…just a bit upset with Asagi.”
“Oh, what happened?”
“I wanted him to quit the game with his friends.”
“Did he?”
“No,” he sighs, “He’s probably going to stay.”
“I guess this isn’t a good time for me to come over, ne?”
“You can come by. I don’t mind, I’m just a little upset with him.”
“Okay. I’ll be there in five minutes.”
Five minutes later, someone knocks on the door. Shinya gets out he comfy chair and answers it. It’s Toshiya. He smiles and waves as the drummer lets him in.
Toshiya slips his shoes off and makes himself comfortable on the sofa. Shinya closes the door and sits in the chair again while his guest examines his expression.
“Where’s Asagi?” Totchi asks.
Shinya looks away from him and answers, “I’m not sure.”
“He just left?”
He nods his head and sighs, looking at the beige carpet.
“Wow,” Totchi responds not knowing what to say to his band mate.
The room is quiet again and after thinking for a while Totchi suggests for Shinya to sit next to him.
“I wouldn’t worry about him. He loves you, right?” he says hugging Shinya.
He nods, hugging him back.
“Well, he’ll be back because he has to come home to you. You’re a great guy and I don’t think he’ll ever hurt you.”
“You’re right. He always says that he’ll hurt himself before he hurts anyone he loves.”
“See! He’s perfect. You two will be back to your kissy kissy-ness,” he replies, laughing a little.
Shinya chuckles at the response and squeezes Totchi tight, “Arigato.”
Totchi didn’t say anything, he just squeezes him tight and then slowly pulls away. He stares at him and softly kisses him.
Suddenly, the door opens and Asagi walks in on them. Totchi pulls away quickly and they both look away as he glares at them. Shinya opens his mouth to say something, but the other heads toward their bedroom.
“Maybe I should go,” Totchi suggests, standing up and grabbing his coat.
Shinya nods, walks him to the door, then goes to the bedroom.
Digging through the top drawer for money, he hears Shinya say, “Asagi, I-“
He cuts him off with a finger in the air, closes the drawer, and faces him to say, “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Brushing pass the speechless man, he goes toward the front door again.
“Where are you going now?” he asks quietly.
“Hide-Zou’s,” Asagi answers, sighing.
He says ‘farewell’ and exits through the door.
