“Aah~ What a long day,” the drummer sighed. He put down his bag by the old chair his grandmother gave him and looked around the room, noticing something…no…someone was missing.
“Asagi!” he called, wandering their small cozy house. He peeked in the kitchen, but he wasn’t there, only a pot of tea that sat on the stove. He walked down the hall, knocked on the bathroom door lightly, saying, “Asagi?” But there was silence.
He sighed softly to himself and decided to check their bedroom. Maybe he’s waiting for him on the bed. He pushed the door open and poked his head in, realizing no one was there. He entered the room, calling his lover’s name.
Frowning slightly, he went over to his vanity and examined his reflection. He played with his honey colored hair a bit, soon he noticed a piece of paper clipped to the corner of the mirror. He reached over and took it down, unfolding it carefully.
The drummer looked around to see if his koi might be around, then resumed his attention to the paper. His eyes scanned over the paper as he read the words silently.
My lovely Shinya,
You mean the world to me. Every time I see your beautiful face, I immediately fall in love with you all over again. As long as we’re together, I’ll protect you like the delicate rose you are. Don’t change your appearance, your beauty is a reminder of how lucky I am to have you. Aishiteru…
Asagi
The thin man covered his mouth as his hand lowered, holding the paper. Small drops of happiness formed in the corner of his eyes. He looked around, whispering, “Asagi…aishiteru yo.”
He stood up, walked out the room in hopes to see the creator of these meaningful words. Sniffling quietly, he wiped the falling tears and noticed a dark figure leaning against the kitchen counter, holding a wine glass.
“A-Asa-“ the drummer began to say until the other man raised a finger.
The mysterious man picked up another wine glass, before going over to his koi and handing it to him. The younger man took the drink and wrapped his arms around the vocalist.
Tears began to fall again and a smile formed across the other’s face.
“A-arigato,” the smaller man said, sniffling a bit.
The dark haired man shook his head, put his arms around the other, and kissed him softly with a slight smile.
