thank you all for your support and goodwill these last couple of days. many of you have tried to contact me, left me emails, voicemails, all expressing your thoughts and prayers and they have meant so much. i am healthy. my family is healthy. most of my close friends are accounted for with a couple of exceptions. i learned today of one friend'

i'm so happy to hear yr safe. i was just thinking about you. i haven't had tv for 3 months yet so i don't know the extent of damage and destruction - and of course our voyeurism around it. i'm glad you and your family are safe. prayers to the ones who left us. the earth is such an open wound.

i will try to call or email longer when i'm less self absorbed. for now - know that you have folks that will help you to rebuild. perhaps mars and i can visit in december to just to check in.

Thanks for your message, not to just let everyone know that you and your famil y are safe and accounted for, but your thoughts and reactions to everything in the middle of it.
