Ruth and I finally got our new car, a Toyota Prius. This is one of those hybrid cars that are half gas, half electric. It's been getting about 49 mpg. So we are a two car family again (me, Ruth, and the Rocky Collection).

My school is growing. I got my 5th student last night. Last weekend I went to the KICK USA tournament. I took 1st in

Woohoo! Awesome work at the tournament! ^^^ is a bit unhappy about the smurf thing...I'd watch out (Alec managed 53). I've heard good things about those hybrids, hope that works out well.

ahh, i've always wanted a hybrid. do you find it handles differently than your standard gas guzzler?

The Prius

Wally was elated to have a car again, but seemed to be taking particular pleasure in driving the Prius.

It's very quiet. It has power right away, as the battery doesn't need to ramp up. And of course, it's the ultimate in geek chic.

It's also very comfortable inside. I could do without the split back window, but am otherwise fairly happy. And you just can't beat 46 mpg very easily.

Oh, and yes, we'll be at the con. I hate Vegas (a casino is kind of a definition of all the things I don't like), but this doesn't sound like a con to miss.

yeah, i liken vegas to too much sugar... it's always ONONONGOGOGO and i'm not really into that.
