Yeah, really aggravated by now. I'm so ready to go on leave. This experience has been awful. I can't wait to get back to Hawaii. Soon, very soon. Can't concentrate. Too much noise in the background.

I'm sitting here in the middle of Kabul, Afghanistan bored out of my skull. I miss Hawai'i or should I say, I miss her very much. The only thing I can think about is my leave coming up and when I get back. Fortunately, my days have been flying by quickly so it is making this deployment easier to handle.

A couple of weeks ago I went to Hawaii and I met a local. Ever since then she has been on my mind every day. Now I've been thinking of everything I can think of to get back to her.

Today is my birthday! I turn thirty today. :-( Oh well, not getting any younger and already the "old man" jokes are coming out in full force on Facebook. My birthday present came in and its a beauty. Well... Looks like my divorce is final. I've been on the road so much the thought of it really hasn't sunk in. Right now, I really don't even want to think about it. She's part of my past now. I've been settling in here in Missouri for the past couple of weeks now. I landed a part time job with Northrop Grumman that has evolved into a full time position (yay me). Things here in the Kansas/Missouri area are much slower than in Vegas and that suits me just fine. After three years in Sin City I had my fill of that place. If I ever go ( Read more... )

Letsee, I'm sitting here with my girlfriend in my lap necking me at the moment. Hmm... Life is good. However, on the downside I lost my job about two weeks ago. Nevertheless, since I wanted to leave that job anyway and the one I want to be with is in my lap as we speak. Life is good. Very, very good. She seems to agree. That's a yes.

These past couple of years I've been wallowing around in North Las Vegas. I'm a Texan through and through so the bro culture of Vegas is a shock to the system. I've been wanting to move back to Texas now for a while. Right now I'm in Port Arthur visiting my father. It's been a year since I've seen him last. It's been a while since I've posted an entry. I've just been really busy since I came back from Europe. My life has consisted of me just working. Working and not much of anything else. Last month I got promoted to third degree black belt. Hopefully I'll go for fourth here in a couple of years. Other than that, things have been status quo.
