Stuck at work, so I'm going to mark this one for digestion later.

Writing is a virus, once you get started, it's really hard to stop. It's not like a drug you can just quit. Fanfics are worse from my experience.

You can easily get a bad reaction that will make you want to stop writing. With Fanfics though, most of the time you start writing not because you want to write, but because you have an idea that won't come out any other way. And sure sometimes you can lose the fire for one idea, but it's only a matter of time until the next idea blazes into your mind.

And yours are pretty good. I want to read more.
