I'm in the mood to type up some Christmas stuff today.
It's finally finished.
So, here it goes, a new pairing for me.
Keep reading and find out what it is.
Hint: Bleach

Every year it was the same thing for Soifon. Wake up. Train. Watch others train. Paper work. Bother Omedea. Eat. Train again. Then sleep.

But, like every year before it, there was something quite off with this particular day.

First, it snowed.

Second, there was a small, rather peculiar looking thing, sitting on her desk. A small black box neatly tied by a yellow see-through ribbon in a rather elaborate looking bow. Whom ever had done it had taken special care into making the bow, everyone knew it.

There was never a note that came with this box. There never was. Perhaps that gave the box even more of a charm to it, since it was the only thing that their captain ever accepted without checking it carefully.

It wasn't until later that day that Soifon was actually able to do anything with the gift. Despite the mysterious enigma the box held, no one in her squad ever dared to open it. The short captain had a short temper to match and there wasn't much that didn't set her off. So, when they saw her with a huge smile... They knew better than to even go near the thing.

"Hm... I wonder what it is this year..." Soifon thought aloud as she carried the box in hand. She dried her hair, having just gotten out of the bath moments earlier.

Anxiously, she sat on her bed and opened it carefully, not wanting to destroy the ribbon or the wrapping paper.

To her surprise there wasn't a present inside. Instead, this year, there was a note.

"Turn around."

So, she turned, only to see the eyes of her old mentor... and feel her lips on hers.

"Such a busy bee." She teased. "Shouldn't you be outside celebrating with the others?"

Soifon looked the other way, trying to get the heated blush to fade way. She wore inwardly, It's just a stupid holiday that people in the living world celebrate. She thought

Yoruichi seemed to tower over her, waiting for an answer.

"I-I prefer staying indoors." Soi answered absentmindedly. "It's much warmer here than in the snow." She pointed out.

Yoruichi's cat-like grin only grew wider. "Hm... Perhaps you're right. It'll be much better to stay in bed tonight."

Soi instantly blushed redder than ever thought possible, realizing what she had ment. How could she not once the dark-skinned woman pinned her down to her futon with not her hands but her lips?

Before losing all choherant thought, she remembered the last part of the note.

"Merry Christmas, Soifon."

Perhaps, this day wasn't so mundane after all.
