you might want to be careful about doing that ultrasound thing; I've been hearing a lot about how doctors are debating about the risk involved in this, and they are saying that while it is a good idea to have the ultrasound if you think that there might be some complications that you need to have examined, you really shouldn't do it just for recreation. I mean, why take the unnecessary risk?

well the thing is that if you don't get an ultra sound then you don't know if some thing is wrong. the other thing that i've learned is that many "know-alls " on this subject really don't know they just guess. many also lead you to believe that if you move about in anything other than a sterilised room throughout your pregnacy then you'll cause harm. each pregnacy is different any mother can tell you that. and if i don't take the "risk" then i won't know if i really am risking anything. they can't tell you're baby's fine by just poking and prodding. there are so many therorys out there that haven't been proved... i'm not worried.
thank you for being concerend though *S*

that's a good point; if there's anything wrong now, best to know early on. But what sorts of things can doctors do to intervene if something is wrong with a baby while you're still pregnant? I honestly don't know much about that, besides inducing early labor or having a cesarian.
