My car is a hunk of junk. I know this, my family knows this, everyone around me knows this. I have complained about it often enough, after all. But seeing as how I can't afford a new, or even newish model, this is what I have to put up with. And normally it's not so bad. The car has been faithful to me. what kind of car do you have in any case.

and what is the point of putting money into a car that is worth less than the amount to repair it??? i've never understood this from people. i'd rather get a slightly better car that is still cheap compared to spending more to repair an old one.

get a good reliable awesome little toyota or something. they last at least 12 years without problems if u dont crash them into things. ;-D

I have a Nissan Stanza, which are reliable cars and last a good long time. But even for a Nissan this is pushing it.

As for not getting a new one, I can barely afford to fix this one, as it is I'm having to call my grandparents and have them send me my christmas money early. I certainly can't afford even a slightly newer car.

*petspets* I understand your pan. ^^ Get what you can and NEED done and save for the rest. And I hopehopeHOPE there's not a serious problem with your axle. Ask about popped tire rods - I thought my axle had broken and it turned out to be popped tire rod (still a $150 but much less then an axle or a new car).
