Oh goddddddddd, my heart, my heart. This is so fantastic.

There's something all wrapped up in the back corner, and it takes some inspection before she realizes it's a slice of wedding cake, to be eaten on their first anniversary, eons from now. The baby will be eight months old.

Auuuuuuugh this killed me the most. PAM HOW DID YOUR LIFE GET SO SAD?

Oh, holy God, I read all of this teary-eyed and feeling a little bit sick. It's just -- I know that the show is all JIM AND PAM: THE BABY IS FINALLY COMING!!!, all hearts and cheesy promos and They Are The Happiest Little Family Ever, but I feel like Pam had this brief, bright chance where it was like maybe she'd get to pursue her dreams and figure her life out on her own, and then she got saddled with Jim and then she got pregnant and even though I am pretty sure it's wrong to hate babies, even fictional ones, I kind of, er, hate theirs, because I feel like Pam just got so screwed over. It's like she finally split with Roy and then got caught right in another trap. And, hahaha, this comment is making me sound more and more like the most heinous person on earth!

In short: thank you for writing this, it gave me a lot of hard sad feelings; I now just want to spend all my time pointing at it and going, 'Exactly! Exactly! This is why I am so upset at this little damned show!'

It's like she finally split with Roy and then got caught right in another trap.

That was exactly how I felt when Jim "surprised" her by buying his parents' house. I was like, "Wow, Pam, good thing you got out of that controlling relationship with Roy!"

Awww I love this. Poor Pam *hugs her* I love all the little things you mention that all combine to that blah, sad boring life feeling. Wonderful writing.
