learned something (from sister, the dancer) while home.
my lower back problems were likely due to the way i stood --
i always stood with my knees locked, which required that my lower back curve so that my spine would be vertical.
now i'm trying to get used to standing with knees not locked, and i think it's helping -- but remembering to stand ( Read more... )

Amusing... I stand the same way, which explains certain problems with my knees and my spine (I had borderline scoliosis for several years, but never needed a brace). I have tried to fix this, and agree that it's quite hard- it takes some quad strength and a lot of attention. I wonder if that's the reason my lower back is always so tense... I should remember to do that more often.
