wow, it's been a while

Okay, so, let's get started.

Flying. My first ever flight. I felt like I was going to vomit my pop tarts when we took off, but I was okay. It was so beautiful when we broke the first layer of clouds; I decided that that is what Heaven must truly look like. On landing I was a bit afraid, but it all worked out well enough. Overall a fun learning experience, and one that I will not dread the return trip.

Florida. Beautiful place. Very nice sea breeze, which makes the humidity extraordinarily bearable. Palm trees are so pretty.

My apartment. Nice one bedroom place, three windows plus a balcony. Air conditioned, brand new microwave, fridge, oven/stove, dishwasher. More closet space than we know what to do with.

My roomie. His name's Patrick. He's from Washington State. Big guy. Likes pro wrestling, so that worked out pretty well. Neither of us brought a TV, so we have cable and no tv to watch it with, lol. He didn't bring an ethernet cable, and we have yet to get a wireless router, so only one of us can be online at a time, via my ethernet cable.

Friends. I've made a number of...well, they're more than aquaintences, so I guess I could call them friends? I dunno. There's Danielle. Really cute girl who's been to Disney World 13 times before she got accepted to the internship. She's from Columbus, believe it or not, and she's a student at OSU. There's Hannah, who drove here from...I can't remember where, lol. She brought her desktop, because she doesn't have a laptop, and she bought a 26 inch HDTV flatscreen, because she cannot bear to go a week without her primetime shows, lol. There's actually a whole list of other people, but I can't remember enough about any of them to make much comment yet. Expect more details in days to come.

Disney. Nice place so far. Haven't been to the parks yet, but that'll change in a few days' time.

Now onto the bad stuff.

I lost - in one go - both my driver's license and my Disney issued ID card. I was told that because I'm new here, I might be cut some slack and not have to pay the $50 fee to get a new Disney ID. However, before I leave Florida I will need to buy a new Driver's license, because I cannot board an aircraft without one. So this year alone, I get to buy two new driver's licenses; one to replace the one I lost today, and one when I turn 21. Yippee.

Overall experience at Disney thus far: Good. Minor setbacks that might cost me a pretty penny, but this does look to be a very fun time.
