Anti bullying gone too far?

The boy was "in the red" yesterday and I am in disagreement with it.
Here's what I was told by the teacher:  Another child called some of the kids Losers during PE.  That child was chastised and put into the red then Squeaker did the same. The teacher continued to say that this was out of character, he doesn't normally try to hurt other's feelings ( Read more... )

I think every case should be judged on its own merits. I agree with you that Squeaker should have been placed on yellow & allowed to work back to green. If there is no chance for a child to work his way back up the scale, what type of lesson is that? I agree with you that Squeaker needs to find a better way to phrase what he said, but hate having the thought that kids need to be pc. Where is their childhood?

No zero-tolerance policy has ever done a lick of good for anyone, anywhere. There is no justice or common sense involved.
