Nothing "Goth" about it as far as I can see. ;) The man who first introduced me to the great Mr. Cash was my human father--who was a diehard, barefoot, tie-dye wearing, protest-song singing hardcore *Hippie*. LOL.

You will excuse me if I disagree most strongly. I mean, just because the person who got someone into it wasn't goth, doesn't mean that it somehow isn't goth. If you followed that line of logic then we would mostly be considered jazz/blues junkies(as a very large part of music, including Johnny Cash, came from jazz or blues, especially the non-pop stuff). As we are not, then that forces me to conclude that, though your conclusion may be correct, your reasoning is flawed.
