Yay! for strength training (and double YAY! for your new goal name!). I loved it back when I did it - and while I may not have lose a ton of weight with it, it sure made me look so much better. Beyond that, I *felt* so much better - it was a mental boost as well as a physical one. Now I don't have access to that gym (not in school anymore) and I have yet to find one here that isn't Curves, and I miss it. I can tell a huge difference now too, because I've gained even more weight and lost muscle and look terrible. So, if you know of a strength plan that doesn't involve weights at a gym - PLEASE point me in that direction!
My "plan" has been working, but far too slowly for my liking.
Your post on here reminds me I need to get back on twitter. It's been a couple of weeks since I've even read it, and there is no telling what I've missed. :-D
It's so nice. I'm only two weeks in, and I've been stalling due to not eating enough (I assume that's the reason why anyway), so I'm working on that. I love the way I feel as I get strong. It's too soon to really know how well it's working. I feel good about it.
I'm doing Starting Strength (which requires a gym), but I've heard some really good things about a plan called Convict Conditioning. It's all body weight based, requires no/little gear, and can be done in a small amount of space. Here's an image of the plan. The general idea is you do simple exercises and more difficult ones as you get better at them.
My plan never moves along fast enough for my taste.
I had been quiet on Twitter but am trying to get into it more again.
