Having a bum foot is a royal pain. There is no real reason why I can't work - my brain is working just fine (or as well as usual). Yet, at work I can't take the care of my foot that I need to to get it to heal faster (can't prop it as much, plus more walking than is nice). It is also frustrating that my foot hurts more now than last week. Like

Your boss can't / won't shift at least some of your responsibilities (that are making it difficult for you to heal) to someone else or partner you with someone to do your legwork, even until the end of the week? Hmph. That's not being very considerate or flexible on hiser part.

Why am I not surprised? I see possible cause and effect here. And, of course, they didn't give you any prescription pain med to help you through the first, worst days, just told you to take NSAID? Lois got a doctor like that when she went to the local community hospital for a broken foot bone. After the second visit, when he just walked out of the room on us, she went to her regular hospital in Boston and was treated much better. I wish you had such an option.
Hang in there, lass, and *do* try to go easy on your poor foot.
