Kyuhyun had never felt this… magnificent.
The SM Town in Paris concert was about to end and they did it.
They had brought their music all the way to Europe and now displayed it for the entire world to see.
He was so sure it was the start of many, many good things.
The starting beats of Super Junior’s mega hit song, Sorry Sorry, blasted through the speakers and needless to say, all the SM Town artists gathered on stage clad in their respective SM Town shirts. Kyuhyun grinned happily; the sound of their fans cheering seemingly becoming louder than the music. It was time for the best - and his favourite - part of the concert, partying with the fans. With his very, very handy video camera in his hand, Kyuhyun began to walk around, filming everyone he passed by, as he sang the song that skyrocketed Super Junior to international stardom with all of his friends.
The screams of adoring fans greeted him; each wanting to be a part of the video he was taking. He smiled gratefully and sincerely at them; words proving to be insufficient for him to express how much he was thankful for their love and support… not to mention the chance to perform in the city of love. He then turned to his SM Town friends, who were scattered all over the stage, filming each and every one he passed by. Pausing momentarily to film Victoria longer than anyone, he smiled at the woman, whom he fondly considered as one of his best friends.
Kyuhyun lifted the microphone in his hands to his lips, singing and taking a video all at the same time. It was then he reminded himself of something - rather, someone; the Super Junior maknae soon looking around for any signs of who he was searching for. It wasn’t that hard to find her, really… considering that she had a bright blue cap perched on her head. A bright blue cap that he was sure was not hers. But before he could start racking his brain as to who among the boys lent her the said accessory, Kyuhyun chose to continue his filming, subtly inching his way closer to where she stood near Leeteuk.
He finally reached her side of the stage, discreetly arranging himself between her and the Super Junior leader and making a show of his filming of the crowd. He didn’t want to be too obvious, of course, especially when it came to her... not wanting to expose anything just yet to the whole world. Privacy was something he cherished, reasoning that everyone else could wait when it came to the more personal aspects of his life. But maybe we could make an exception at that very moment just because it was getting so hard for him to stay away from her, to treat her like the rest of his friends.
“Soo…”
Kyuhyun knew that despite the loud screaming, the loud music, the loud singing and his soft voice, she heard him crystal clear. Sooyoung turned to face him, finding herself face to face with his video camera as he recorded her every move. If she was surprised with what he had just done - specifically how he just managed to give the fans are rare KyuYoung moment they could - she didn’t show it. A bright smile still lit her face before she began to be her dorky self, doing all sorts of facial expressions and hand gestures in front of his camera.
That was all it took to get Kyuhyun grinning like an idiot.
As he watched her be her effortlessly dorky self, he just really couldn’t stop the happiness from showing on his face. He knew that the fans, who were fortunate enough to witness the moment, were frantically taking pictures and fancams to post online for the delight of all those were unable to attend the concert. But he didn’t care… because right there in front of him was a side of Sooyoung that was overshadowed by her mature, elegant composure at times. She could be her true self with him and he just proved that it was still the case even if thousands of eyes were watching them.
Sooyoung stopped her antics, sending him a meaningful smile that only he could understand, before turning her attention away from him to enjoy the remaining minutes of the concert with everyone else. He still continued filming her though, still capturing her every move before a few moments before he walked away. The moment they had was pretty short but he didn’t mind. To everyone who was watching, the dorky Sooyoung was someone who was amusing and hilarious. But for him, it was one of the reasons he fell in love with her at the first place.
And, damn… he really was a lucky guy.
