ChangMin leant back on the table with his two arms on it as he smirked at the girl beside him. She scowled as she turned away, reading her notes.
"Hey, why so serious?" He asked in English as she gave off a fake laugh, but didn't say anything after that. He sighed a little at his stupid pick up line.
"Shim ChangMin." He said as he extended his hand for a handshake. The girl looked up at him, then at his hand before giving off a small smile.
"Choi SooYoung." She said as ChangMin smiled back.
"Yah, you aren't as cold as I thought you were." He said as SooYoung rolled her eyes, obviously annoyed.
"Okay.. Okay.. I won't disturb you. See you later!" He said as he walked away. KyuHyun looked from the back of the wall at the beauty as he overheard their conversation.
"See KyuHyun? This is the art of pick up lines and coolness. You heard that right? I got her name. Choi SooYoung. Remember that." He said as KyuHyun nodded his head.
"Aish, let's go." ChangMin said as he put an arm around KyuHyun's shoulder. KyuHyun sighed as he turned his head around to see the beauty again, but ChangMin was pulling him too fast.

SooYoung heaved a sigh as she received her test results. Alrighty was she on her way to being in the police force. Only a few people passed.
"SooYoung sshi?" KyuHyun called out timidly as SooYoung whipped her head behind. She smiled at him as she walked towards him.
"Uh.. Me and the recruits.. We're having.. party.. Rooftop.. Now.. till night.." He stuttered as SooYoung giggled at his awkwardness.
"Will you.. come.. with.. me..?" He asked as SooYoung giggled again. His face contorted into a mixture of worry and anxiety. Did I say something wrong?
"Okay." She said as he burst into full emotions as he pulled her up to the rooftop with him.
She walked around aimlessly as KyuHyun mixed with the other recruits. She felt bored there. She decided to roam around the southern part of the rooftop.
Until she saw a familiar figure sitting on a chair, gazing at the red and yellow sky. He looked rather depressed, yet calm. She smirked as she walked towards the figure and sat beside him.
"SooYoung sshi?" He said out as he turned his head towards her. She smiled as she looked back at him.
"Why are you here? Isn't Mr Flirt going to get the girls there?" She asked playfully as he chuckled. She observed him as she saw his eyes with a little tear in it.
"You.. Are you okay?" She asked as he smiled at her reassuringly.
"Mhm." He said as he turned towards her.
"You're really interesting, SooYoung sshi." He said as she looked at him innocently.
"I really hope that we'll be friends soon, though. Good friends." He said as he looked back at the sky. Silence enveloped as the two sat on the chairs, staring at the sky turing into a dark pitch black. ChangMin realised that the girl was staring out into space just like him. He decided to break the silence.
"SooYoung sshi.."
"Yes?"
"Ever wondered why I decided to be a recruit?" He asked as she turned and looked at him.
"Why?"
ChangMin chuckled at her pure innocence and short answers.
"I.. used to have a girlfriend.. My ex." SooYoung kept quiet as she listened to his story.
"We were really this close to getting to marriage soon.. Until one night.. She.. She left me." He said as SooYoung looked at the man sympathetically. So he wasn't the Mr Flirt she always knew.
"She left me.. for another man. She used me.. I still loved her then. Until a few months ago, I heard of her death. It was related to the other man, he used her. Just like how she used me." He said as his voice cracked a little as he swallowed a lump down his throat.
"KyuHyun stood by me all these while.. We knew each other since Elementary." He said as SooYoung nodded her head.
"SooYoung sshi.. I.. I'm upset. Disappointed." He said as he tried to fight back a tear.
"Changmin sshi.."
"She was a wonderful girl. She loved me, but she loved the other man too. And.. I loved her so much.. I felt like dying when I heard that she passed away.. Until now. I tried hating her, but I couldn't do so." He said as a tear dropped. SooYoung leant forward towards him as she used her thumb and wipe away his tear. He looked at her as more tears formed in his eyes.
"I'm so pathetic, right?" He said as he sniffed while SooYoung shook her head.
"You're not, ChangMin sshi. It's hard to let go, especially for someone who you loved so much. It's hard.." She said as he listened to her assuring words.
"You're not pathetic.. You're strong. And I know you'll always be strong." She said as more tears cascaded down his cheeks. She felt herself tearing with him too as she wiped away his never ending tears. Soon, he started to calm down. He held her left hand which was wiping for him his tears.
"SooYoung sshi.. Thank you, for listening to me. At least I opened up." He said as he gazed into her eyes.
"Thank you. You're a true friend." He said as she broke into a small smile. "And you're beautiful." He said as he gazed at her eyes again. She felt herself break free from his grasp as she cleared her throat. Luckily it was at night, if not, he would have seen her blushing face.
"Th-Thanks." She managed to stutter as ChangMin smiled back.
"You're just like her, you know? On the outside, you appear to be cold hearted and cool. But inside, you're just a sweet, lovable.. sensitive girl."
He said as SooYoung looked up at him.
"Just like Victoria.."
