"I'm almost done, Kyuhyun. Give me another minute or so!" Sungmin replied and Kyuhyun could hear Sungmin's quick shuffling in the room.
"Alright, take your time!" Kyuhyun smiled and walked back to the living room.
"I'm done, let's go!" Sungmin called out to Kyuhyun, with enthusiasm filled in her voice.
Kyuhyun stood up from the couch and saw a pretty Sungmin right in front of his eyes. Even though she was in her casual clothing, she looked really beautiful with her long ponytail.
"Kyuhyun, what are you staring at? Let's go, I can't wait!" Sungmin said while pulling Kyuhyun to the door.
"Woah, it's really huge! Kyuhyun, let's take all the rides okay!" Sungmin's eyes were busy looking at all rides available in the amusement park.
"O-okay Sungmin, but can we not take that one." Kyuhyun pointed at the wooden roller coaster which is the highest ride in sight.
Sungmin chuckled, "Don't tell me you're scared of that?"
"Yah, who say I'm scared! I'm just afraid for you, it seems too... too dangerous for you." Kyuhyun rebutted, trying to sound almighty but his voice betrayed him.
"Hee, worry for yourself then because that's my favourite! We'll take that last alright!" Sungmin winked at Kyuhyun and pulled him to the nearest ride in the proximity.
Night was approaching but the amusement park was still as lively as ever.
"Sungmin, I'm hungry. Can we go for dinner?"
"But we're not done yet, awhile more, please~" Sungmin pouted at Kyuhyun.
Damn, how can she be so effortlessly cute "Alright alright, last ride?" Kyuhyun gave in.
"Yay~ Thanks Kyuhyun! Hmm, let's take that one since it's the last ride!" Sungmin pointed at the wooden roller coaster and smiled at Kyuhyun.
Kyuhyun's eyes widen in shock but immediately regained his cool, not wanting to let Sungmin know his fear. "Okay."

Hah, this is your punishment for not celebrating my birthday with me! Sungmin thought and smiled to herself.

It was finally their turn after the long queue.
Sungmin hoped onto the seats and immediately pulled down the safety barrier while Kyuhyun dragged himself to the seat beside Sungmin and unwillingly pulled down the safety barrier, letting out an almost inaudible sigh.
However, Sungmin caught that sigh and smiled.
She turned to Kyuhyun, stretched out her hand to Kyuhyun's side
"Kyuhyun ah, can you hold on to my hand? I'm a little nervous."
Without second thoughts, Kyuhyun immediately grabbed Sungmin's hand, tightly.
Sungmin smiled at Kyuhyun's reaction and thought: Silly boy, should have just admit that you're scared!
Finally, the ride set off. It was the moment Sungmin has been anticipating since she has entered the park but for Kyuhyun, it was the moment he has been dreading since forever.
Throughout the ride, all Sungmin could feel was her hands going numb as Kyuhyun tighten his grip over and over again, like it was the only thing he's life was clinging onto.
When they have arrived back at the starting point, Kyuhyun was still holding onto Sungmin's hand and his eyes were still shut.
"Kyuhyun, it's over, let's go~ People are staring at us." Sungmin whispered and smiled at the adorable Kyuhyun in front of her.
Kyuhyun slowly opened his eyes and heaved a sigh of relief. Noticing that people were staring at him, he immediately straightened himself up and exit the ride with his usual almighty look, still holding on to Sungmin's hands.
"Kyuhyun, I need to use the washroom. I'll meet you back at the car later." Sungmin said after dinner.
"Okay. If you're lost, call me alright, don't report to the service counter like a kid, it's embarassing!" Kyuhyun smirked
"Yah Cho Kyuhyun! I'm not dumb!" Sungmin tried to glare at Kyuhyun but ended up smiling.
Kyuhyun laughed in return.
"Sungmin, do you want to go up first? I need to find something in the boot which will take some time." Kyuhyun asked Sungmin while opening his boot which was a complete mess.
Stunned by the amount of things in his boot, Sungmin replied "Okay, see you later."
When Sungmin was out of sight, Kyuhyun immediately reach out to the well-hidden cake and bottles of beer in the far end of his boot.
He has secretly bought them when Sungmin went to the washroom earlier, hoping to give Sungmin a belated birthday surprise.
Kyuhyun lighted the birthday cake outside his apartment and when he went in, he immediately switched off the lights.
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to Sungmin! Happy birthday to you~"
"Come Sungmin, blow out the candles." After Sungmin had done so, he went to switch on the lights and was surprised to see a teary Sungmin.
He immediately put down the cake and grab Sungmin's shoulders. "What happened Sungmin? Did anything bad happen?" Kyuhyun asked in a concerned and worried tone while wiping Sungmin's tears.
"No nothing happened Kyuhyun. I'm just touched, really touched! Thanks so much!" Sungmin answered with a smile.
Kyuhyun smiled and hugged Sungmin while patting his head, "Silly girl~"
"Let's eat the cake and I bought beer as well." Kyuhyun said leading Sungmin to the coffee table in the living room.
The two of them sat down on the couch, enjoying the cake and beer with each other's company.
Both of them were a little tipsy due to the dozens of beer they have drank.

"We wouldn't? I mean who would like it when some stranger just barge into you life like that. But I was better to you after you've moved in, isn't it?" the equally drunk Kyuhyun replied with a laugh.
"No you didn't! You were so mean to me when I took that pot of Fennel on the first day I was here~" Sungmin rebutted and could remember that scene clearly despite being half-drunk.
There was a moment of silence before Kyuhyun replied "Because that's from her..."
"Her?"
"My ex-girlfriend. We were childhood friends and dated when we were 15. We promised to be with each other for the rest of our lives but she left when we were 23...due to cancer..." Tears were rolling Kyuhyun's cheek and this is the first time Sungmin saw Kyuhyun's tears, she could feel her heart clenched with every single tear that rolled down Kyuhyun's cheek.
"I hate it initially when I knew you were moving in because this is the place we spent our last few years together. I was scared...scared that she would be angry knowing that some other woman in moving in here and I was scared that she would slowly disappear from this house with your existence..."
"She was my first love, the first person I've ever loved whole-heartedly..." Kyuhyun closed his eyes and continued, "we used to go to Han River every weekend, the place where I first confessed to her." Kyuhyun smiled as he revived his memory, however, the smile was short-lived. "She left that pot of Fennel for me when she depart from this world. Fennel means strength. I know what she means...she wants me to garner all my strength and put our past behind but how to..." Sungmin could hear the despair and hopelessness in Kyuhyun's voice.
Seeing that Kyuhyun was crying, Sungmin instinctively went forward and sat on Kyuhyun's lap, wiping of Kyuhyun's tear.
Sungmin looked into Kyuhyun's eyes and whispered "Let me be your strength, Kyu."
They stayed in that position for a moment until Kyuhyun's lips captured Sungmin's.
It started out slow, every movement was taken with caution but it gradually turn into a hot, passionate kiss.
When Kyuhyun bit Sungmin's lip, Sungmin let out a soft moan and Kyuhyun took the chance to slip his tongue into Sungmin's mouth.
