Quick Review - Lost Planet: Extreme Condition

You could finish this game in 6 hours if the last boss wasn't so goddamned impossibly difficult. What's the deal? Everything else goes down about 2 rockets and this motherfucker could survive having a fucking cathedral dropped on his head*. This is why I don't play Japanese games.

I like the "don't freeze" game mechanic, reminds me of the latter part of Crysis.

Crysis spoiler: At the end, it gets cold.

That's what I originally thought the constant search for T-eng was about too, but it actually relates more intimately with the main character's 'harmonizer'(the artifact that converts T-eng into health) rather than the threat of freezing to death. The problem with this becomes apparent when you realise that logically, even when Wayne has a maxed out T-eng bar (9999 energy), he'll only last about 10 minutes. Apparently this is irrespective of whether or not he's outside - his harmonizer always consumes energy, and without it you'll die.
