Last night went swimmingly, for want of a phrase! I was rather nervous about going, to be honest, as despite how readily I'll disrobe at home or on the beach, alone or with friends, I'm still very self conscious about how I look and thus am immensely insecure with strangers. The swim with Reading Naturist Group, however, swept all those worries

Sounds like you had a blast. ;)

Wish there was something like that near here, but too many of the natives would probably want to burn the participants for witchcraft or some other absurdity.

Like you I am super conscience about my appearance. Last time I went to a nude beach, I kept my shorts on. But its great you had a positive experience! :)

Oddly, I have no reservations at all on a nude beach, as you're there either on your own or with friends - it was the whole "being with a bunch of folks you don't yet know" that had me worried, but once you get chatting after a few lengths of the pool, everything is cool :)

And yes, more barefooting will be attempted, as long as I know the areas are suitably clean & debris free :p
