I'm nearing 6k in words with the Granlund/Koivu fic I'm working on. And instead of feeling like I might be maybe getting to something like a halfway point at least, I think I maybe need to be adding some scenes I hadn't previously thought I'd need. At the very least, if the PP keeps on being the mess that it has been (and what the hell is up with that anyway? They started out well enough?) they'll talk about how Granlund got "The Chance of the Season and couldn't make anything of it" or some shit like that. It's not as if he's been covered fairly before, why should they start now.
As for the fic, I maybe hate myself a bit for doing it? I'm an awful human being, I know. Not going to say I'm sorry though. :D

Anyway. Granlund has usually been really good about rising to occasion / doing well when he feels like he has something to prove, so who knows. Maybe he'll kill it on the PP.
Twitter just reminded me that in addition to it being his birthday, it's also the four year anniversary of his first pro-level game. As if I needed any more reasons to be getting emotional about this game. REMINDERS ABOUT HIS TIME WITH KÄRPÄT STILL DOES THAT TO ME, OKAY!
Honestly, Idk if that ever stops being a sore subject. I wanted to see him win the Championship in Oulu, damn it!
