Gah. I would've posted this sooner but I had to work my TV job tonight. Sure I made $40 for about an hour and a half of work but that work consisted of watching Friday Night Smackdown and missing BSG live. Grrrrr

I really enjoyed last night - and I'll be honest I hadn't at all thought of what I'd wanted it to be. I hadn't actually missed any of the continuity of Kobol, or Kara going off in search of the Arrow - until Laura mentioned it AFTER the ep. I had felt that what we were seeing was just...life. There hadn't yet been time to deal with the ramifications of Apollo's and Kara's desertions and returns..although as you say they did. But indirectly by showing us the stress the others had been going through because of their actions [on top of the normal stress]. It just hadn't been the time for it

I loved Xena's (For that is what she will always be to me) line about how she was sick and tired of people accusing her of being unpatriotic because she really did want Galactica to succeed. I think I saw this a bit differently, of course we come at this from different political views as well. Yes there are genuinely patriotic journalists that question what those in power do. For the right reasons of trying to make a more perfect union, holding those in power to the highest possible standards. Then there's someone like say Robert Fisk who is a genuine fifth column type in is country. He's not just wishing to hold the government to a high standard, he wants them to lose. And he's open about it. Now she wasn't, but I think that's what they were trying to portray
