My parents and I are back from Alaska and we'll be staying in Seattle for a few days. Alaska was amazing and we had a great time. Of course the only damper on the trip was Hurricane Rita. Fortunately my parents knew that Houston might get hit before they left and so they brought some important papers and other items with them. What they didn't

I'm glad to know there was someone that was able to take care of your parents home. I had wondered and worried a bit, since I know where they live and its not exactly a non coastal area. I hope they're able to get in contact with someone soon that can tell them if they have any damage to go home too.

You're too sweet. I was thinking about y'all too. I'm glad that things were pretty much okay, aside from the trees that fell.

As for our house we just heard from a friend that it's all good. Not even a branch out of place in the trees. One of our friends nearby even rode it out at home and he said that our area barely got any rain and we didn't lose power for more than a minute.
