The One With All the Catching Up

Work's been keeping me crazy busy. We had a bunch of sales over the weekend and the store got slammed. But the best part was that we now have headsets - a la Old Navy - and you can just imagine how well that went over with a bunch of twenty-something bookstore nerds. The "Copy that" and the "Eagle is on the move" and "Stay on target, Red Leader" ( Read more... )

I love this show more and more every week.
So do I. It has sort of evolved into one of my favorite shows on TV, and everytime I watch it right after watching Desperate Housewives, I'm struck by how GA is a far superior show.

Elizabethtown - Where, once again, Cameron Crowe makes me his bitch.
I can't wait to see this, and OB actually looks cute in the previews. He's one of those guys that I think looks kinda girly and small most of the time, but the movie looks good.

That's the same reaction I had when I watched the two premieres together. DH was entertaining but then GA came on and there was no comparison. I don't even watch DH anymore.

I have the same feelings on OB. He's too pretty for me. And usually Kirsten Dunst annoys me. But both of them work for me in the previews.

It does just keep getting better and better. I am one episode behind though. I just wish that George would get over the crush that he is sustaining for Meredith. Truly - it's dumb. Other than that I don't really have any complaints.

I don't know about the George crush. It doesn't really bug me. I don't think it should be the primary motivator for everything that he does but I also don't think it should be easy for him to give up. Technically only a few months has passed since the show started right? If he's still relentless pining by the end of the season, then it might become a problem for me.

You raise a good point. I don't know. It's just so obvious that she isn't ever going to look at him in a romantic fashion - you know? I would just like to see him realize that and find a way to deal.

Flat out - My Name is Earl is the best thing I'm watching this season. Everyone I know has gotten into it. :D I think it's because Jason Lee is a badass.

I watched an advanced copy of Earl that I got in my EW mag and I loved it. I love that none of the characters are trying to win you over or act cute. They are who they are and that just happens to be pretty damn funny.

Yay for AD and VM DVDs! I feel like a broken record for how many times I recommend those shows to people!

I'm so excited for The Colbert Report. "It's French, bitch!" Have you read this article about it yet? I'm very curious as to who will play his archnemesis "Leiber".

I'm looking forward to VM. I've seen a couple of eps and they were enjoyable. That 'Bring Backup' gag in the pilot was hysterical.

And thanks for linking that article. Geez, who could play the nemesis? It's interesting to me that they just have the last name. Will the other person be a woman? He's Second City right? So maybe someone from there like Amy Sedaris or Tina Fey or something. He did work with Sedaris on Strangers With Candy and a couple other projects.

Whoever it is should be good.
