Hey, bandwagon! Wait for me!

I've decided to join in on all this Veronica Mars action. I was going to watch an ep a day or so but I ended up watching all 4 on the first disk in under 24 hours, which should give you an indication of my thoughts on the show. But allow me to elaborate:

"Pilot" - I'd seen this on twice actually but it still holds up. All the characters get a quick but memorable intro and I'm instantly feeling the ship between Veronica and her dad. They're so daddy/daughter. I love it and I love Enrico C.

"Credit Where Credit's Due" - Paris Hilton was on this show? And she didn't completely suck? Well, she was playing herself but still... I liked this one. I kind of wish they would've given us a non-gangbanger, non-maid Hispanic family but given the setting of the show that wasn't going to be too likely. Plus I like Weevil and his gangster with a heart of gold act. Even better was the ending where they didn't go all touchy feely with the cousin. They treated him exactly the way any gang would've treated him and I liked that. And I liked Veronica's ingenuity and figuring this all out, the bit with her and her dad at the hotel was classic. Finally minor shoutout to Logan for the way he figured out who his girl was cheating with. Overall a good ep.

"Meet John Smith" - My fav outside of the pilot. Mostly cause I thought I had it figured when I knew that the dad wasn't dead. I was all "Yeah, yeah, parallels to her mom, blah-de-blah... WTF?! Dad's a woman?!" Good one, guys. Same with the two stories of Duncan and Veronica. I love that they made different stories about how to deal with Lily's death. Same with Veronica's questioning of her dad. It wouldn't feel real if she was just fine with her fall from grace and if she didn't have some questions. So I'm glad they're creating some organic conflict between them.

"The Wrath of Con" - Good but I was a bit tired of the con story. What really got me was all the Lily stuff. She's such a central part of the show it was nice to see what all the characters were all mopey about. And I have to say that I laughed out loud when she strutted into that gaming place. She was so Sydney Jr., right down to a similar Alias. Fun times. But my fav moment had to be when her dad told Iceman (What's his character's name?) that he cancelled his reservations at the Four Seasons. You go dad!

Overall I'm liking it. I'm not fangirly but Kristen Bell rocks my world.

And now I get to go work til midnight. Woo.
