That's really sad news.

I have a print of one of the self portraits she painted. I had been wanting to take it to the coffee shop in Hollywood that I knew she was always at to try to get it signed and to try to offer some assistance. From all accounts she wasn't doing too well financially and was frequently without electricity and grocery money. I had always heard that she would accept gifts if you caught her on a good day. It's odd because I was just thinking that I should do that soon on my drive to work yesterday.

I can't believe you had the pleasure of actually seeing her around. That is so sad that she had financial problems, considering how much we are all aware of her!

I hope she gets final resting place at the Hollywood Forever cemetary. Lx

I never actually saw her, but it was common knowledge where she was. You could always count on seeing her at the McDonalds in Silver Lake or this one diner in North Hollywood. I went to the diner once and missed her by about an hour. I might go to the memorial if I can get switch schedules at work. Apparently they are still trying to get the body.

If you are interested, I have the Vampira documentary and a copy of her "punk" album with Satan's Cheerleaders that I can send you. The cd is really fucking strange. She's only on two tracks and she does this weird televangelist rant on it. All I can say is that it is really odd.

That's a bummer that you missed her! McDonalds?? God's...what she wanna go there for. It would be nice if you went to the ceremony. I made a donation to the animal rescue centre she wanted people to donate to. It was only $10 but it's always something and I made it in her name :)

The documentary sounds cool! I'll need to get a list and do trades with you some day.

Oh and I posted your tshirt today at last!! I've been off work and it's the only day I felt a bit more energetic to manage up to the post office. So sorry for the delay! Lx
