The Cat Came Back (They Thought He Was A Goner)

I have decided to look into moving back to Toronto, ideally North York. This idea has been stewing in the back of my mind for some time. I am looking to move there for 3 - 5 years, maybe a little longer. Basically, I want to cut my expenses as much as possible, so that I can make a serious effort to save up the down payment for my own home.

Good stuff, a home is fun (a bit of a money pit) but fun.

Seems like all we've been doing for the past year is move - currently have a four hour commute.

*chuckles* Yeah, I keep hearing from my friends and family how much their homes keep costing them. That is another part of why I want to be sure I have plenty of money saved before buying one. (Though, I am still undecided about whether I will try to get a house, townhouse, or possibly apartment condo.)

The one thing I am really hoping to avoid is a long commute, especially on the way home. When I first started on midnight shift in Aurora, I was living at Victoria Park and Lawerence. I fell asleep driving home on two seperate occasions, but luckily never got into an accident.
