Life sucks, red tape sucks even more, and I can comiserate with the "it shouldn't be this way" sentiment. Nothing in life is fair, but when the shit hits the fan we can either collapse or get better at surviving.
It's your choice lovey. It sucks, but it is what it is.
My only advice is to bitch, moan, drink, throw things, and complain for a few days, then you have to adapt.
