deep philosophical points

I already knew that when I press both the right and left mouse buttons on my laptop pad at the same time it opens an new tab in firefox.  What I just figured out is that if I press both of them while holding my mouse over a tab that it closes that tab.  It's crazy.

Dude that totally works! On mine, though, it doesn't make a new tab, but creates a scrollbar. This has helped me discover that doubleclicking in the tab area DOES create a new tab, though.

MAGICAL.

Do you have a middle button? If you do, the middle button makes and deletes tabs. I didn't realise this was such arcane knowledge.

Nope, I haven't a middle one. That's why this is so weird.

oh shoot, I meant if I click them over a link that it opens that link in a new tab. I love the double click an empty space next to a tab to create a new tab feature. <3

Both of those are wonderful to know. Although now I can't stop doing the click both buttons over links just because I can.

you can do the same w/ the scroll wheel. clicking a link makes it in sa new tab. however you sound like hte kind of guy who would love all-in-one geastures. I think it is THE greatest extension I have. Basicly you hold right click, and then draw a wicked simple patterns, ie left, up down, left up right, etc. and it will execute commands.

left is back
right is froward
updown is reload
up right is new tab, etc. it kicks massive ass. I can't live w/o it

I also decided to get ReloadEvery and cookie culler! It is pimp. (I love that you go to full screen by drawing a square with all-in-one).
