Corporate Whore

Tonight, I just realized how deep my hatred is for corporate america. And it is only true hatred because it stems, of course, from my own fears and insecurities. Either way, it sickens me. It sickens me that one may have to compromise what they love to do for the sake of being valuable, competitive, which, ultimately is for the sake of profit. It is cold and dehumanizing. The life of the corporate whore. Selling one's soul to the profit-driven frenzy that this country has become. And they wrap it up in a pretty little bow and call it "the American Dream". But really it's just a ploy to keep everybody in business. Raising everyone with values of selfish greed and compromising what is right to gain acceptance in this world.

I refuse to be just another corporate whore in this sick sad corporate world.

Maybe I fight a loosing battle, or maybe I make a name for myself. Maybe I go down with my principles and starve to death, or maybe I will show all those mother f*ckers that I don't need to play their stupid little game. I will make my own damn industry that is based on goodness, love, passion, creativity and humanity. I will spread the love and magic that one can experience upon purchasing something REAL, something human, something so primal and essential to the core of our beings that it becomes invaluable. Something that you can't put a price tag on. But because you do, you teach people to buy with a *conscience* and to re-think what is truly important in this world. It's not just about MONEY, it's about re-connecting yourself to the spiritual energy of the universe that connects all beings. It's about getting in touch with the deeper flowing energy currents that guide the interactions between the animate and the inanimate, the energy currents that couldn't possibly exist in today's processed, stripped and baron environment.

There is something different about using an object that never saw the sweat and toil of human devotion; something that was cranked out by a factory or a machine at record-low costs. In that case, it IS just an object. An empty, lifeless, stripped and processed object. Even our food is stripped of it's nutritional nature, and we are left with nothing but empty calories. So to are we left with an empty heart when an object is stripped of it's origins of being brought into creation by the forces of the energy and efforts of another human being. When we understand these deeper undercurrents, we are not interacting with objects alone, but are interacting with the people that gave birth to them.

People will learn to sacrifice their inexhaustable want for more, and realize what they are really missing. I'll show them. I'll show them all.

Bitches.
