So I wrote a paper...

It was suggested I post it.  It is, of course, on House, MD.  The course is on television and media, and the paper was to be an analysis of a current TV show.  I chose to write on how House both emphasizes and also rebels against societal hegemonic values.

I got a 92 on the paper, so I'm a little proud, heh.

That was a very interesting angle on the show. I love analyzing it! I hadn't noticed all the technical details used in Half-Wit to underline the lie going on, but now I will definitely rewatch :) Thanks for posting!

Thanks, and you're welcome! I love this course to pieces, really. Anything that lets me write a 1500 word paper on House and get an A+ on it definitely has my vote.

Woo! Someone else has the urge to write papers about House! Very interesting take on nonconformity vs. reinforcing hegemonic societal values, and ditto on the coolness of the technical details of Half Wit - I didn't notice them either, but it's a very nifty insight. Thanks for sharing the paper - the analysis was great fun to read.
