Morning after (closed to House)

Mar 24, 2007 23:17

Cuddy woke slowly, her mind needing time to process the fact that it was morning. Her mind didn't need as much time to process that, for once, she wasn't waking alone. She opened her eyes; yep, that was definitely House. True to his word, he'd taken over most of the bed during the night. Not quite as true to her word, she wasn't sleeping on top of ( Read more... )

House stirred when he felt Cuddy's head snuggling on his shoulder. He lay there with his eyes closed as he slowly pulled out of sleep, then cracked his eyes open briefly. He stirred again and launched into a mild stretch before opening his eyes again, peering up at the ceiling. The first thing he registered was the aching in his leg, and the second thing he registered was the press of Cuddy body, warm and secure against his ( ... )

Cuddy tensed slightly when she felt House begin to stir. Life would be so much easier if they didn't have to wake up and face...whatever this was. Life would so much easier if they could stay in bed and have sex--that was obviously one thing at which they could work well together. She squirmed a little remembering just how well they'd worked together on that ( ... )

His mind started trying to work out what that small act of affection was: was she just kissing him because they were naked in bed together, or did she think there was something more to this? Was there something more to this? What was this ( ... )

"And here I was thinking you were just lazy," Cuddy said. She caught the odd expression on his face when she kissed him, whatever it meant. Too bad. They'd had sex. She figured that entitled her to a 'morning after' kiss. He'd just have to deal with it.

She arched her back into the touch of House's hand, but she didn't have long to enjoy it before he started complaining about his pills. She wondered how much of it was true physical need and how much was psychological, but he did have pain and he was due for his next dose so she started looking around for her clothes. She hadn't exactly paid much attention to where they'd been tossed the previous evening; she'd had other things on her mind at the time. She thought it was entirely possible she could run through the halls of the hotel naked and no one would care, but it wasn't a theory she was keen to test.

"Yeah, yeah," she sighed. "I don't think it's me your pills are calling out to." She found her underpants and slipped them on. The first shirt she came to was House's. It was big ( ... )
