He'd just been ambling along in the spaces between shelves, until he turned a corner and came face to face with a pair of sensible shoes and a huge physics textbook. Lisa looked very, very drained. He wondered if she'd seen Dean again today, though of course he wasn't going to ask. Still, he might as well play nice. "Hello, Lisa."

"How are you, John?" She waved her hand at the rows and rows of books. "You looking for something to read or just exploring?"

He wasn't sure what else to say to her that didn't sound stupid. It had been his policy since getting here not to alienate anyone if he could help it (with House, he hadn't been able to help it). Still, they'd gotten off on the wrong foot. "What are you doing to keep busy here?" he asked belatedly, thinking of something. "Haven't seen you in a bit."

"I...busy? Um.... A little of this, little of that," she managed to stutter out. His question had thrown her because of course, of all the things she'd been keeping busy with, Dean was the first thing to pop to mind and no way she was telling John that one way she'd been keeping busy was by doing his son.
"Exploring," she added quickly, because that seemed like a safe answer. "Seems like I keep finding new rooms in this place. And I'm not sure if I simply missed them before, or if the Hotel is actually adding new rooms."
