QTF 2013
I have my Annual Hug-The-Man fest today... that is to meet Rick at the Quench The Fire Race 2013, went there with W & her 2 girls & her Mom, we were almost late because we parked at the other part of the Park where they have lots of tents & cars, but it's actually for a dog show.. so we went out again & parked the right place, it was quite cold this morning, about 50F, even at noon it stayed around 60F so we bundled up with jacket & scarf & gloves
I forgot & left my camera in the car after we walk to the other side to start the race.. so I didn't take a picture of Rick at the start line, this year they didn't gave him the foghorn, but they gave him a gun. W & the girls did the 1 mile walk/run, I stayed with W's Mom, after they finished the run, we walked back to our car to put all the swags in bags and just sitting around waiting for RIck to start signing.
I saw this mug at a store & I thought Rick would love it... so I bought it & bring it for him
I saw him walking around the stands, picking up stuff & snack & coconut-water, seems very happy with his free-swags & t-shirt ... if you don't really know he's there.. you might not recognized him... he's just like any other guy at the race.

W & Mom & the girls were like the third in line... I told W that RIck loves dogs, so she picked up pictures of him with his dog Whiskey for the kids, and sure enough Rick chatted with them about his dog & asked about their dog too.

W took my camera so I can queue & later she would take the picture of me & Rick, she said a guy asked Rick to sign on his Lakers Girls pictures (they were there too).. so Rick checking out the picture (to & fro) and said "There's no me in there.. so I won't sign on the Lakers Girls bodies & faces" ... LOL!.. silly guy!!..*sigh*....obviously A GUY.. the Female species would not do that to Richard Dean Anderson....
And then it's my turn, I gave him the bag and said: "It's for you... it's just a mug"
and he said "Thank you.. I love those"
then I took out the bubble-wrap to show him the mug & said : "It's a Simpson mug"
and he laughed & said: "Ahh ...you know me so well !!"
.. well .. duh !

U's turn and she asked him to sign a Legend (the TV series) pic of him.... which he happily obliged and he said he will always love to sign those pictures from Legend and asked : "Did you watch all of the episode ??" to which we answered a resounding "YES!"
After that we just waiting around for the raffle ticket results, but it took a long time, so N & U left, and W took the girls & Mom to wait in the car, and then came back & we're just standing around waiting...
It's a good thing we waited, since W won a jewellery-set and for the first time since I go to QTF I won some books about RSI & a blanket throw...
Then some of prizes didn't get claimed, so they raffled again.. and I won a pair of area-rugs.. ..YAY!!
And then we went home... the girls love this & want to go again next year... needless to say that the older ones are also want to do that ;-)
P.S. : I will send these when I can find the time to go to the post office..
