I've been watching Street Hospital over the past few weeks- Wellington Free Ambulance have taken to parking 2-3 ambulances down in the city at the main party zone on Friday and Saturday nights to catch some of the party goers and keep them from clogging up the hospital. It's a very good plan and I'd like to see it put into action up here if a safe

I've been buzzed, but never what I'd consider drunk. I've always been able to feel the reaction time starting to ooze out of my cells, have rational thoughts such as "I should not drive home at this present moment in time," hand somebody the keys and switch to water for the rest of the night. I just can't get behind the idea of allowing myself to lose control of my faculties for kicks and grins - but I think that might be part of it for some people; as long as they're controlled, they might feel incapable of joining the party and relaxing.
