disappointed and disillusioned

I really enjoy my ICL students. For the most part they are enthusiastic and determined to improve their writing -- and it's great being a part of that process. But yesterday I was editing a nonfiction article from a student and it just didn't "feel right." Previously he has struggled with proper grammar and punctuation. Really struggled. You're KIDDING!!!! People pay money (lots of money, isn't it?) to take this class so they can learn to improve their writing and then they CHEAT?!?! What do you SAY to the person???

You said you sent the file back to ICL...does that mean YOU didn't have to tell him anything yourself?

Is he out of the class?

Luckily I don't have to say anything to him, although several things come to mind! They'll take care of telling him he's kicked out. I still don't understand why someone would PAY for this course and then cheat... boggles the mind. And did he really expect me to believe he wrote that article?!
