The Social Network

J got us into a sneak screening of The Social Network, the movie about Facebook that's coming out this Friday. It's being heralded on the movie posters as the film of a generation, the Citizen Kane of the 21st century, one of the most stimulating films of the year. 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

I more or less agree, actually.

Very cool. That shot of Hopkins brought back some memories!

Huh. I heard it discussed on NPR but not in such detail -- thanks for the review!

I liked it a lot when I caught a sneak a couple of weeks ago.

A group of us saw this last night in Harvard and then walked over to the Thirsty Scholar for dinner. Sadly, they are trying to cash in on that one exterior shot by renaming half the menu with movie-related puns. Eisen-berg lettuce! Open Facebook sandwich! Social Networking 101 appetizer combo. Groooooan.

That said, everyone really liked the film. I don't think I would have been compelled to see it if it hadn't received such good reviews.
