100th Bay To Breakers

I just registered for the 100th running of Bay to Breakers next May. If you've run before, the "pre-registration" link you got in your e-mail still works, although not with the discount. Otherwise, regular registration starts January 1

I'm in this year! Although walking, not running. I was thinking about grabbing a couple rooms at the Le Meridien (I think it is) on my Starwood points - will go do that now before I forget. Want to join us there? :)

Sorry to hear that "the powers that be" have decided to start enforcing those idiotic rules on fun! Perhaps those kinds of rules are somewhere in the books, and the authorities simply decide not to enforce them. This situation reminds me of when they actually started to enforce some of the moronic laws the state of Virginia has about public acts of affection (such as holding hands).

Regardless, have fun and hang in there!

That's a real bummer about the cracking down on fun. I'm not sure if I want to come run it or not, if it's going to be less fun.

They'll still have the costumes and the centipedes, but at the moment they won't have the floats or the drunkenness... there are a couple of groups trying to loosen things up a bit (and get them to rent more port-a-potties), we'll see how it goes.

Are you still doing the New Orleans half marathon on Valentine's Day? Wish I could make it out for that.
