Old doesn't always mean bad. Because I'm still newer to manga reading as well there's a bunch of them I've read that were started years ago and I enjoyed them a lot. I don't have a favorite series yet although Hana Kimi, Boys Over Flowers, Maria Holic and Me & My Brothers were series I really enjoyed.
