Finished HP & the DH a couple of hours ago...

Am feeling a great sense of anticlimax, probably because I read some spoilers a couple of days ago.

Much of it was very inevitable, really - Jo set things up in such a way in the preceding 6 books that I'd predicted many of them. The surprises:
- the hallows subplot - I thought the hallows would be the horcruxes
- Ron walking out on Harry & ( Read more... )

Have you used white text as a spoiler-hiding mechanism? It doesn't seem quite to work on my friends page, because I don't have a white background.

Do you know how to use lj-cut normally and it's just not working for you in this post? Or are you not sure how to use it? If the latter, just start the cut with the following: *lj-cut* , except use less-than and greater-than signs in place of the asterisks.

It's worked for me before, but not now - have tried writing the code as well as using the rich-text editor

Hmmm, given what you say I'm worried what to do about my spoilers... may have to see if I can do something else...

With any luck the people who are most trying to avoid spoilers won't be reading LJ at the moment. I hate posting uncut spoilers myself, but also I recognise that everyone has their own tolerance levels. :)

Yeah, I had similar feelings. I'd expected Draco to be redeemed and instead it was his parents - well, you kind of expected Narcissa, but not Lucius. I'd assumed Hagrid would die, instead of running tea parties for Harry's kids, and his brief moment of glory involved trying to save the attacking giant spiders - not surprising, that, actually ( ... )

Well, you influenced my thinking about how the book would go!

Quite a lot happened off-stage, which I wouldn't be surprised if they put on-screen when they make the film - e.g., what happens at Hogwarts while H, H & R are in the woods -- sounds lots more exciting, at times!
