Harry had seen and felt a lot of scary things in his life. He'd seen the Queens of Faerie stripped of the veils of beauty and flesh and their power on full display. The Skinwalker, the semi-divine ghost of Navajo legend, seen for its rotting, ancient, evil self. Horrors more than delights, all pounded into his head forever, in technicolor brilliance until the day he died or perhaps went mad.

So its nothing too big of a leap for him to gaze upon this...demon thing that had been a teenage boy no less than five minutes ago. Look at it, then at the still-gushing corpse of the Nightwyrm, then back at the no-Ichigo once more. A one-hit kill on the thing that Harry had unleashed a Soulfire-imbued Gravitas and still shook it off like nothing ( ... )

It - whatever this thing is - is aware that Harry is getting closer, but short of a small turn of the masked head to catch the wounded wizard out of the corner of one blackened eye socket, it makes no other indication that it's even aware Harry is speaking.

It would be easy to dispatch this man. He is not a threat. If Harry tries to get too much closer, though, that might change.

And Harry, if anything, understands quite easily that he doesn't have a prayer against this thing. At least, not until he understands what in the hell is going on here. A wizard could shatter bastions, drown armies, send mighty war machines flying across continents in gales, if they could prepare. Harry didn't have that now so his best interest was to stay still.

Still, didn't mean he couldn't test something first.

"So, Viking Man, dig the fur. Very metro, or whatever they call it now. Just need a matching messenger bag and you're set."

Still no response. Nothing more than the helm turning away, slightly as the hybrid mind beneath it searches out the remaining reiatsu signatures on the battlefield.
Protect them.

Though, with so many dead, and more injured, just who is going to be protected is another story. There's an ache that's getting to be more of a problem, though. Pain somewhere in the chest. Or is it the stomach? It's so empty.
Protect them.

But that pain. Ignore it for now, there is more important things.
