[ Lior is passing by with a pumpkin in her hands when she spots the man, not entirely sure she has seen him before. He must have been new to the city or something. He looks...lost? She's not sure, so she decides to head over to greet him. ]

Is that what it's for? [ Pretty obvious that she hasn't met many blind people before, ] Ah, if you're sure.

Yeah, it's for feeling around so I don't bump into everything. The color scheme's supposed to alert people just why I'm using it.

[ He can hear the awkward, but refuses to get sucked up into it. ] Not really. I just came out to see what all the fuss was about, you know? I'm not exactly fond of nights around here.

TENEKA, yeah. I think that's it. Mostly, it's just pretty annoying that all I can do at night is hear. I like talking.

[ He shrugs. ] Parties and stuff aren't usually my thing. That'd be my brother's.

I think that's another thing I've just gotten use to. After ten months or so, I guess you can't really help it. Either way, I understand what you mean, it can be frustrating.

You should at least enjoy yourself while you're out here I guess.

[ He's not sure she actually understands the pure isolation that being deprived of two senses brings, but he's not going to harp on it. It's better that way. ]

[ No, she doesn't, but there's no point in denying it must be frustrating for him. Especially if just not being able to talk is annoying for her and everyone else, ]

I was carving pumpkins for a while. I'll probably just wander around for the rest of the night unless something comes up. Usually I can find ways to entertain myself.

Sounds like fun. Seen any good costumes yet?

I think everyone's costumes are nice, even if I don't know what half of them are. I didn't even know what a ninja was until some of the kids put the costume on me.

Nor pirates for that matter, or their apparently rivalry with said ninjas.

I'm from a city called Maligrae in Kilarria. All of these things I'm hearing about I assume are from Earth.

Oh, yeah. Don't even get started on the zombies.

She chuckles, far too use to it by now. ] I'm a dark elf. [ And since he can't see, ] My skin is black, my hair is white and I have pointed ears. The dark elves back home all have lines on their skin that act like veins to carry our magic. Mine are blue.

Kind of. It all gets pretty silly after a while.

[ His brow furrows as he tries to imagine that. ] That's... pretty radical a difference.

It's already pretty silly, but I could say that about a lot of human customs I've learned.

Mm, I like being different though. [ She smiles, even if he can't see it, ] But we don't have things like Halloween back home. Or birthdays, ninjas, all of that stuff I learned about here.
